Alabama Jubilee (Yellen-Cob) by The Ferko String Band, directed by William Connors
Over the years as multiple first-prize winners in Philadelphia's annual Mummers Parade as well as nationally distributed recording artists, the Ferko String Band was the best-known of its type during the 1940s and 50s. This happy summertime revival of the 1915 tune charted #14 juke box play and #18 on the best-sellers. The Ferko Band’s modestly popular follow-up single “You Are My Sunshine” is also posted.
THE 1955 HITS ARCHIVE - here in one place, a good-quality library of original-release-version best-sellers and songs that made an impact that were either released or enjoyed a major chunk of their popularity within the calendar year 1955 (some were recorded in 1954).

I used to play this song so often that it became a running joke for me to sing "Hail, hail, the gang's all here for an Alabama Jubilee!" whenever it was someone's birthday.
