Great looking Plymouth...a year that you seldom see! It's on sale at Gateway Classics in Lake Mary Florida...here's a link to their discussion of the car: www.gatewayclas...
This car has a 277 cubic inch V8 and Powerflite two speed automatic.

Someone did a nice job restoring that car. It is a beauty.

It really is...the metal knobs and trim are so easily oxidized, but all that has been taken care of in this car! Seldom do you see this model in this condition! Thanks! :) Jack

My parents bought one brand new in 1956 - just like this car, only yellow and white. It was my dad’s first V8 and my mom actually learned to drive just so she could drive this beautiful car!

Hey, Charles! That had to have been a thrilling experience for both your mom and dad! This model was a breath of fresh air for Plymouth with its beautiful two tone paint jobs, automatic transmission and that new V8! Thanks! :) Jack

Hello Jack, this is a very nice Plymouth. The "cool" color combination of green and white makes it very appealing and it's just the "right size." Here's another one I wouldn't mind sitting in my driveway!

Hey, Randy! It sure is nice...and you're right about the "cool" color combination! Modern looking but not excessively big. Thanks! :) Jack

Hey Jack! Beautiful 56 Belvedere! I love the color - very fifties. Cheers Tiger.

Hey, Tiger! It sure is a beauty....it's typical of so much of the styling that was going on in the mid-50's here. Cheers! Thanks! :) Jack

Love this soothing green. Mopar should have kept this design instead of rushing to bring out their 57s. :)

Hey, Chester! I agree...this was a reasonably sized car...the '57's were more of everything, and in that case it had its drawbacks. They were building them so fast quality suffered. Thanks! :) Jack

Hey, Jason! It sure is lovely...a great example of "The Forward Look"! Thanks! :) Jack

I agree. It's perhaps the best looking "Forward Look" Plymouth I'd ever seen. I also love the condition. :)

The original owner cheaped out on a $90 optional radio. But nice car overall.

It's funny how a good number of owners at this time declined to take the factory radio. I think it would make long distance travel boring! Thanks! :) Jack

In those days $90 was a lot of money. It wasn't that uncommon to find a car with a blank plate where the radio would have gone.

Hey, Dan! What a memory! Good thing the instructor wasn't paranoid! :D Your driving skills no doubt made up for this little faux pas! Thanks! :) Jack
