On "My Car Story" we're at the Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis WI on 2-23-17 at the World of Wheels car show.
We're looking at a 1957 Chevrolet Chevy Bel Air Convertible in Surf Green Paint.
The car's being shown by Dave Mock, Owner of the Restoration Shop that restored this car. Dave shares the Owner found the car in a field. Dave and his Team have restored this car all the way back to show room new condition, and this car has many original options from the Factory and the Dealership.

Hi Tony Amarillas, Glad you like the car. If you would have shown me a 1957 paint color chart I would not have picked this color, however the color seems to fit perfectly with this era car. Hope you see many other cars on the Channel you'll enjoy, Lou

I'm 59 now, but when I was a little boy and saw a fully decked out '57 Bellaire, that's the car that made the biggest impression on me, but too stingy now to own one.

"Awesome" is an Americanism I do my best to avoid, but it certainly applies here. Top drawer restoration of an iconic automobile. The locking gas cap is indeed a surprise. I always understood gasoline was simply too cheap to meter in America in the 50's...

beautiful colored green Lou I really like that two-tone green on that car I've always been one for green cars my 2005 Taurus so I bought new I got green but my car now Silver Sol you don't see too many green cars anymore

That beautiful car was built from the frame up...They had to find/buy most every piece, 1500 man hours....Would love to know how much it sold for, seems like there is about $50K worth of labor costs at least, plus all the parts. Pretty color though, sure wish I understood just how that overdrive feature worked. That's a pretty busy looking engine compartment, looks more like a car from the 70s under the hood! I wonder if the car was built specifically for a customer or if they just built it for sale....

Factory A/C is all I need to add to make me happy but this is not a car you're going to drive everyday unless you got money to burn and you're having another one made LOL. Simply amazing and Beautiful! LOVE LOVE the color different. the light blue was also a nice color too. Thnk you LOU

Lou you didn't ask him to lower the roof! Why not? And can you please rehearse before you shoot. And please, please, please, talk about the item you are pointing the camera at! You have a really bad habit of discussing items after or before you show them. When I was 4 years old, my dad decided to buy a ‘57. He had me stand between a turf green one and a larkspur blue one and asked me to pick one. I picked blue. How many people do you know who had their choice of brand new ‘57 chevies?

Great color! I know that most sports car enthusiasts like the two-door models. I look for four-door cars. In those days I believe they were also more rare! Why would you want a two-door?

When I Was A Kid,My Next Door Neighbor Was A Supervisor @ Doraville Plant in ATL.Ga.Area & Got Invited to Visit Him @ Work Several Times To Watch the 55-57 Chevy's Go Down the ASSEMBLY LINE & Only Remember A Few ,That I Can Remember, This Color Go down the Line,& Only Seen Probably 4-6 This Color ,in My Lifetime.More Options Than Prob.85% of Cars Produced in 57. Only Option It Doesn' T Have,I Can See,Is Auto & Fuel Injection.Couple of Guys Had the FI In HS,& FI Was So Tempormental,They Both Jerked the FI Off,Threw It in the Trunk & Put on A 4 Barrel. Beautiful CLASSIC !! THKS FOR SHARING!!

I'm sure all of the do dads were added during the restoration, the problem with these cars is there is no data plate like more modern cars so people can add as many do dads as they want and just say it's from the factory when it wasn't built that way at all!
