Dad bought one from US forest service , my brother and I were instructed to load it up with the biggest rocks we could pick up as to fill a bad wet spot in driveway ! This was 1966 , we gained a lot of respect for Dodge !
I had a 1959 Town Wagon in college in the early 70's. It had an old "wide deck" 318 V-8 and a 4 speed. The rear axle was full floating. Had 12:00 tires on iton white spoke rims. It was bad ass. Wish I'd kept it.
I was going to say that it is outstanding but I looked down and someone else already said it first. It really is a outstanding vehicle. Looks great and lots of extras for a 58 for sure.
This Mark dude has a complete STUNNING COLLECTION of unique trucks!!! Wow never seen anything like this in trucks before, being an Lincoln and Imperial guy but damn incredible Sir
This video is really well done. The interviewer leaves a lot to be desired, but the owner knows his stuff and speaks well with no BS. They didn't say it, but this is also very well restored and I guess it's a show truck.
These are amazing I have been watching these for years almost bought a 57 town panel 4x4, what is truly amazing is you can bolt another set of wheels on to the existing wheels and have dualies all around, talk about go anywhere!!!
@@thewriter2549 WWII military trucks often added a second set of wheels to the steering axles of their trucks, all the way to 2 1/2 ton trucks- these added in the mud and especially the snow-
Gotta love the 8 3/4 rear end in that unusual application. Oddest place I've ever seen the 8 3/4 is front and rear differential in a tracked snow vehicle.
@@thewriter2549 Very much so, as they were using a lot of the information that they gleaned from their experiences building 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton 4x4 trucks and ambulances for the military
What do you all think about Tesla? I did a podcast on Tesla - go to ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aufygWUqiKA.html and let me know what you think.
Climate change is FAKE!! And I Do NOT Give A Rats Behind About Electric cars!! As Archie Bunker would say. CASE CLOSED!!! 8/5/19 8.05 am cst USA...TRUMP 2020..
Nothing like a work truck made so expensive only a business magnate can afford it!😂 Seriously though that’s a spectacular find and I’m SO glad he’s kept it all original. I’ve only seen a couple at car shows over the years and they were both military surplus, still cool but not a swanky Town Wagon
You notice it only had one shifter for transfer case, meaning it was like a newer 4 WD ,most 4 WD of that era had two shifters for transfer case one shifter for 4 WD or 2 WD and the other shifter high range or low range
Such a beauty My travel-all came with the PTO driven winch....but I think it was farm installed. Do you know the budd wheel spec? Was it 6 on 6 inch spacing? Internationals shared a very similar body style and some were rural school buses....yours was definitely garage kept.
Thanks again Danny - this guy Marc collects very unusual 4 x 4's and fleet type vehicles and fire trucks making his collection one of the most interesting I have ever seen. Marc is also an expert on these vehicles, as revealed by his expert commentary. I like to give people like this credit for what they know and what they do for the hobby,.
