I've known Tom Wilhite for several years. I grew up on Pontiacs and since we both live in Kansas, our paths have crossed over the years. Tom is the go to guy for Pontiac engine work. I caught up with Tom at Mecum Kansas City. He has a 1958 Pontiac Chieftain with FACTORY Fuel Injection that he took up to run through the auction. Since I have had a 1958 Chieftain since I was 11 years old, this car really caught my attention!!! Tom was kind enough to take a few minutes with us and show us the car.
This car has an amazing story. Fuel Injection was NOT a very common auction on 1958 Pontiacs and even less popular on the base model Chieftain! This car was delivered new in Kansas and it has KNOWN race history in Kansas!!! This car is stunning and it pretty much checks all of the boxes of an amazing old Pontiac!
