For main stream affordable cars Ford really were the style purveyors in the 60's and 70's ..... imagine this driving through a grey old British Town at the dawn of the 60's ..... magnificent, not many left like this I'd guess 😮

This is an early 1960 when the dashboard was upgraded We had a 1956 mk1 then again a 1958 mk2 , kater 1961 mk2 with overdrive. also a 1962 mk2 Station wagon . Legendary beautiful cars From Durban South Africa

As a kid in the early 60's in Batley, Yorks, a fella had a chip shop/eat in cafe (Howie's) and he had one with electric roof. Think it was the same colours as this beauty too. If you asked him nicely he would pop the roof open and closed at the touch of the switch. Think he loved to show it off mostly 😂 Great when your a kid and in those days. There was also a butcher who rallied VW Beetles in that same time, family was called Millmans. His beetle had a bigggg whippy short wave radio(?) Arial he used for his rallying.

I had the 61 zephyr motor show model,same colour ,needed a lot of work ,scuttle shake was horrendous ,this one's nice had a lot of work,good spec with the head and o/drive.

What a lovely old zodiac, I remember seeing these brand new in the ford showroom in the early 60s. They were on par with the pa crestas of the day. The two tone paint looks the biz!

@@bield7 I love listening to his particular Aussie accent! Ty Mate, quite the interesting little automobile! Our Fords that period didn’t really have tail fins and of course were massive in comparison
