1960's commercials for Toni hair color and Dippity-Do 

It's a shame my hair's color lost its innocence, now it comes home late, wears less clothes, and does a lot of drugs. I blame it on today's music!

Love the sixties eye makeup. They don't copy it right these days. I'm too young to have worn it but it would be cool to see how it was done. It was gorgeous.

I used Dippity-Do A LOT when I was 12, 13 and 14. (And yes, sleeping on rollers every night.) Thank goodness long straight hair came into fashion. Yet I do feel some nostalgia for those days. And this commercial brings it all back!

This is a 1968 "two-fer" spot, as The Toni Company marketed both products.

She has two ponytail hairpieces on each side. Hairpieces and wigs were common in the 60s and were used to add volume or change style.

Dippity Do is still available. It's in different formulas and packaging. Check your local food drug or department store.

I dipped into the hair gel in 1967. It resembled the Neutrino bubble detection of high end physics interferometry
