The station is Leicester Central. The Britannia Pacific 70054 Dornoch Firth was probably filmed in October 1965 when these locos were sent to the GC line for about a month. As there are just four coaches it was probably only going from Nottingham to Rugby. 34002 Salisbury was hauling an RCTS special on 13th August 1966 less than a month before closure of the line south of Rugby. In those days we didn't have 'Train Stations', they were either 'Railway Stations' or just 'Stations'.
I grew up in Leicester. I can recall travelling out of London Road Station on a steam train to London in 1958. I didn't recognise any of the locations in the clip, though.
@@ianblakesley3349 Must have been very interesting growing up during the cold war and living though Prime Ministers from Macmillan and Thatcher ! (Possibly even earlier)
