Mk1 Minis are pretty scarce now due to owners not caring for them as they were nothing special. Owners of Coopers and Cooper 'S' Minis were often enthusiast owned, pampered and cared for. This example, whilst not being mint, won't surprise me at all if it sells around the £10k+ mark as it's original and not been messed with.
Cute classic car. Great period colour. Nice condition, a paint job and seat retrim wouldn't cost the earth, probably £2,000/3,000 would do it. These are collectable cars. Must then be worth £16,000/18,000 easily.
Having owned a few over the years when you start rebuilds on minis you are entering a wormhole.Nice to see this one though. You just never know what lurks beneath but its survived .The minis of that era were generally better built than the last ones in 2000.
Austin Seven to be pedantic! Thats how the Austin model was badged on the boot lid and the Morris was badged as Mini-Minor. They both use the identical bodyshell........which is a Mini.
