After a lot of work, my dad knows the Corvair moves under its own power, the real question is how well? My dad is still hunting down the cause of the rubbing noise that you may hear in the video, but it seems like the rear alignment is still off "by a mile" as my dad would say. While the engine may not have run as well as my dad may have liked, considering it's made from scrap parts laying around, I am incredibly impressed it didn't just nope out on the first hill!
If you are wondering why I was going so slow in the backyard, that's mostly because the clip for holding the throttle in place had fallen off causing me to have no throttle. Also, I didn't want to be the guy on camera crashing one old car into another old car, or worse into the bushes. On camera no less!
