Well done! That’s great and lovely to see George back on the road. We did about 600 miles in ours last week. On holiday from Bromsgrove to st. Ives and Hayle and back. No problems.👍👍👍
I remember when I put the 1098 in my old 948 moggy I immediately had to drive 200 miles from Bristol to St.Ives. I really noticed the difference in power.Really pleased for you!!!!!
Hi everyone I have taken George out for the first drive after the engine has been replaced all seems OK. I apologise for the sound on this video I think my gopro is not going to last much longer. 😂. Just like every thing else. If you can help out with a replacement radiator or fuel tank the please let me know. Thanks for watching. buymeacoffee.com/morrisminor
I just knew looking around your place that you were just like many of us tinkering away when funds allow, maybe you should update your video out throw so people don't get the wrong idea, thinking you've more toys than it may appear. I do agree with you that people are sitting on stuff that are useful to the right person and it's no harm to ask if they would like to see them on another car that we can see on RU-vid. Whenever i pop my clogs, no doubt there's nobody who'd use my stuff. I have someone in mind to get it as i feel for what it's worth, they would actually use it instead of the rellies selling it for a quick buck. I myself have my dads tools and they are sentimental to me, my siblings haven't hands to scratch their a*** so me tinkering in the shed is what he would be pleased to see 🤗👍🇮🇪
Thanks for your comment I was wondering how long before someone would pipe up with stupid comet but hay I make RU-vid video as a hobby and if people like to watch them and get some enjoyment then that's a good thing. If I get a stupid person say something stupid I just remove them and block if people don't want to watch then don't. Thanks for your comment 🤓👍
Great that George is back on the road! I wouldnt trust that temp gauge, but get a thermometer in the top of the rad and see what the truth is. And if it is too hot, check the thermostat first. Id be hunting down a petrol tank repair as a burnt out George would not be a happy George. Keep the content coming! Sound much better on this one 😊
Weel done on getting George back on the road with his heart transplant. That old spring looks like a clutch return spring, no wonder it was heavy. Sorry I cant help with a radiator i had to get mine re cored when it sprung a leak. If it is a pinhole in the petrol tank then epoxy like JB weld will stop the leak until you get it replaced.
Hi yes I think it is same as the clutch spring don't know what happened to my spring? Probably find it later. Yes I will try to find the leak 👍. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment 🤓👍
Great stuff!! The unstoppable George just keeps on rolling! Well done in getting him back on the road. Not bad going either to have him sorted within around 4 weeks of a total engine failure!
brilliant you got george up and running.. BTW did you manage to find out the anti corrosion stuff you painted onto george when you were preping the chassis etc.. thanks GN
George is back as my Daily driver 👍. This is the stuff I used. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283292271807?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=ZL2YunF2S7O&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=IsITZyVFScy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=MORE
