1963 Chevrolet Chevy Impala SS RestoMod in Gold & Engine Sound on My Car Story with Lou Costabile 

I had a 58 Chevrolet 2-door hardtop with the factory Anniversary Gold paint. An ICON of a color that was uncommon back in the day as I polished that car to where the paint was slick as glass. One of my favorite classics "63 Impala Super Sport ". Way beyond Nice for sure !!!!

This was my very first favorite car in my life. I remember when I was about 4 I saw one with the wheel off and almost cried cause it was broken. Now that's love of a child that I have for the 63. Much love everyone. Thanks Lou.

1963 IMPALA is so beautiful especially the unique color. The owners are lucky to have this beautiful Impala. It is amazing and unique. I like IMPALAS since I first saw it during the time when I was studying at the University of Wyoming at laramie , WYOMING . I mastered doing trunk panels. You start with cardboard and blue masking tape. Masking tape is for air gaps. Transfer pattern to thin wood or thick papper board, plexy glass anything thin really. Back is one board and sides you make one side flip pattern. Rest your budget and imagination.

Amen to this one being inspired, very sharp looking Impala... nice classic lines, pretty color too. Love the blue lights on the dash, flashy. Wheels look great and all the chrome really sets off the gold beautifully. I love love the engine, it's awesome, shiny and powerful looking. This ride can go the distance for sure! Nice car, with a nice cam! My late brother-in-law Arthur had a '63 Impala SS convertible back in the early '70s; it was white with a black top and light blue interior. He traded it for a '70 Toronado.

Hey Lou. Awesome looking 63 Impala SS. My favourite years have always been 1963 and 1964. I remember my aunt and uncle had a 64 Impala SS when I was a boy.

Very nice car! It's a nice blend of old styling and new technology and, as always, love that sound! :) No matter what you do to it, you just can't get that from an electric motor. That electric wur?/wir?/whine? (it's so foreign that I don't even know how to spell it) anyway, however you spell it or whatever you call the sound that an electric motor would make, it just isn't the same. I heard someone say that by a certain, future date, the U.S. is going to only allow electric vehicles. That would be a travesty! What would happen to cars like this Impala? That would be a DARK day for the U.S. of A! Dare I say that it would be un-american? It's our God-given right to burn petroleum-based fuels if we want to. O.K., maybe that's going a little too far, just a little, but it just wouldn't be the same. Next thing you know they'll come out with cars that'll drive themselves...oh, wait, they're working on that. What fun would that be? Half, or more, of the fun of cars is driving them; and they're working on taking that away from us too?Tell me it "aint" so!! O.K., so that's maybe a little mellow-dramatic. Can you tell I like cars? I've liked cars since I was knee-high to a grasshopper, literally. I'll bet that I jumped for joy even before I was born when I heard a car's engine start up. I really don't remember back that far, but I wouldn't be surprised to find that to be true. O.K., so I exaggerated, a little, but I, really, can't remember a time when I wasn't into cars. I had my first car before I was four years old. And that's no exaggeration. Alas, to my chagrin, it was an electric car; but it was an open-air roadster with one seat, and one speed... really, really slow. I think that if I had raced a turtle, it would have won; the turtle, that is. I should mention that it wasn't, exactly street-legal, but it wasn't illegal to drive it on the side walk or even inside, because it was a kid's toy, motorized, ride-em car, but it was the first car that I could drive and ride. Thumbs up, except for the rims. At first glance it looks like just another Cholo ride. Gotta get rid of those wheels and put something on that will let the car speak for itself. Too much good work to let poor wheel selection beanerize an otherwise great effort.
