10k seems like a steal

Bought one of these years ago with plans of it being my “retirement vehicle”, my youngest son decided he wanted it when we made “the deal”…… he had to bring home the grades in school, no drugs and no trouble with police and I would build him whatever he wanted. Well, he took my power wagon. Long story short, it was completely taken apart and rebuilt, now has a 4bt, nv4500 5 speed, np205 transfer case, king pin 60 front axle and 14 bolt full floater rear, front parallel 4 link with coil overs, roll cage, snorkel air intake, painted dark tourmaline green, 4:88 gears, 37” tires, gets 23 Mpg’s and he has already turned down 3 offers of 60k for it. When he graduated from high school and brought me his diploma, I went to my dresser and got the title and signed it over to him. He graduated with straight A’s and is currently in college with a 4.0 gpa getting masters for physical therapy. He asked if I was mad that he took my truck, told him I have straight A student getting masters degree…. Nope, I came out the winner. He lets me drive it every now and then. I also babysit it while he is away at school. Was a fun build as we did everything on it.

10k??? The seller got screwed at this auction

If the metal was decent, 10k was a steal. I worked on an M37 that had tons of rust. Fabricated a bunch of patch panels from cold rolled steel. Bed bottom had to be pieced from 2 trucks.

I would use this any day over a side by side.

Wow - only a year ago and 10k was a good deal. I am considering one now for 20k without the trailer. Not sure what condition that one was in rust-wise, but seemed solid.

Dang the trailer is worth that much.
