Just arrived in with us at RFH Classic is this 1964 (B) Humber Sceptre 1.6 finished in Pippin Red with Black Vinyl trim. The car has been very well cared for a presents very well. It is lovely to see an interesting shape and these Humber's certainly offer this. Sit inside and the cockpit is way ahead of the cars age and looks very stylish. You are presented with an array of dials and gauges all of which are working. The Black Vinyl upholstery appears to be the original and is virtually unmarked.
Power for this beautiful example comes from a 1592cc engine that is paired to a 4 speed manual gearbox that is fitted with a fully working Overdrive. Turn the key in the ignition and the engine fires into life with very little choke from cold, a check of oil pressure gauge indicates good pressure both when cold and warm and the gears all nicely engage. The car has certainly had a lot of interest from these initial photographs probably due to the car having such great styling for the age of the car. In the office we have a considerable history file for the car containing lots of records for work undertaken to the car over the years.
