It has been said that God helps those who help themselves. I have been watching you since you lived on the farm you had to leave. It has been a great pleasure watching the two of you work your land and build your business. You are really living the dream. I hope to continue to watch as your shop is built and your lives progress. Take care.

I love the property. Would love to find myself something like that. Nobody is perfect and what you've done in your past is part of what makes you you. Having regrets about things you've done in the past means you learned from them to make yourself a better person

AMEN, Rick! One of the many things I love about both you and Jamie is the way you love and praise the Lord as often as you do without getting preachy and sermon-y when you do so. That demonstrates as true a respect for the potentially varying opinions of your viewers as for your respect for (and love of) the great Creator who has bestowed this incredible slice of His Creation upon you! may He continue to bless and keep you, brother!!!!!!!

Yes praise God for all he has done for us God is good! Looks like a good fishing hole. You should bait up some piece of hot dog on a hook and a cork and catch some Blue cats. And it is to Jamie's credit that Rick was very fortunate finding her. I have heard for many years that a woman can make or break a man and Jamie has proven to be a blessing for Rick in that she is just a down-to-earth good woman, not some money grubbing bimbo like many run into when they get out that drive them back into prison trying to satisfy their greedy ways. She has stood beside him and helped him all along the way and with that kind of woman in your life, how could Rick not succeed? No, they aren't filthy rich as far as men count riches but they are richer in the better things in life than most will ever have.

Three things...…...First, I like it when you thank the Lord and don't take your blessing for granted, second.....I taught myself to drive in a truck just like that at the camp (Lost Valley) in 1977 and third......let Jamie know that Kevin Kostner went to my high school and I hung out with his brother but that was long before he was somebody, Kevin graduated the year before I got there, I believe he was class president.
@ClassicTruckRescue
@ClassicTruckRescue 5 лет назад
Funny coincidence Bill. I went through an Outdoor survival coarse when I was 18.....and they drove us around in a 64 Ford Shortbed....but it was a stepside...
@ogr7771
@ogr7771 5 лет назад
The I drove around end was a stepside also, 223-6 with a three on the tree, it also had a pick-up bed trash trailer hooked to it so basically the first time I ever drove it was a stick shift, manual brakes and steering with a short wheelbase trailer and no one to teach, by the end of the day I was backing that trailer like a pro.

The orange and white on that 64 F100 reminds me of the U-Haul trucks of my youth as I’m 65 now. Unlike you guys, I would turn it down, would rather have the 3 on the tree, but a lot of people love automatics. I've always liked visible gauges too. I don't like idiot lights or message centers unless there are visible gauges too. I did like that guy's white ford, 390 4 speed. Reminds me of my 1966 Mercury Cyclone GT days...... On a side note, I guess the C-6 Automatics did not come out until the 80. I had a Mercury Zephyr wagon, 6 cylinder, had a c-6 automatic in it was my Mom's car. When I had it to the tranny shop to get the transmission cleaned and oil changed the owner told me that transmission would last in that car forever. I was in the process of fixing the car up for my sister as she was without wheels. I cleaned it up, painted it, redid the interior, tuned it up, and she drove it for another 10 years, so the car lasted 20 years with some TLC and I think if my Bro-In-law would of left his fingers off it and they would of put it in a garage, it would still be running. First week they had it my bro in law stole the tack out of it. Shame too, I had an entire set of Sun-Tune gauges in it including the Tack built into the dash board. Not the top of the line gauges, but they looked and worked good, certainly well enough for that car. I think Ford always made a bullet proof six cylinder engine up to about the 80's. After that I stopped caring, I switched over to Chrysler, and had a Dodge Daytona Turbo Shelby Z (ran really fast) then later a 86 Dodge Van with a slant 6 another bullet proof motor, short body van that was redone in side to be a conversion Van with bucket seats, insulated paneling, and I did some TLC of my own with chicken lights, added AC, Aux heater in the back, and a work area at the back doors, and a chrome crash bar in front and my Company Logo pained on each side in company colors. Was the only van I ever saw was 3 speed manual shifter on the floor that came from the factory like that. I kept that van 12 years, worked it pretty hard in all kinds of weather, and was running great in 97 when I sold it to my neighbor’s kid's buddy who totaled it in a week. I wanted a Jeep Cherokee Sport Heavy Duty which is now semi-customized and I still have today yet, another bullet proof motor 4.0 with a 4-speed Aisin Automatic Transmission with Dana 373 gears in both differentials and is “on demand” 4 wheel drive, not the weaker all-wheel drive. Chrysler in 1997 did not recognize the manual transmission as "heavy duty. A manual transmission Jeep Cherokee could pull 1,800 lbs max, where the automatic heavy duty package came with a transmission cooler, bigger radiator, and oil cooler and a class 3 trailer hitch and could tow 2,800 lbs. or I'd of gotten manual transmission. Maybe one of these days I'll sell my 95 Ford escort and get a Jeep CJ with manual transmission just to have for a second car like I do my little Ford. But currently, everything works in the 95 escort, only has 135,000 miles on it, well maintained my by me, so until something big goes on it, I'm keeping it. The For Escorts to despite their size, were pretty good little cars, and friends of mine had a lot of miles on them before selling them. Down size with anything 95, if you exceed 5,000 miles per year, at least in Pennsylvania, you have to get the emissions done on a dyno tuner which can be expensive if you can find someone that has one. Fortunately for me, I don't drive that car near that far. I keep it for a spare car and to take it grocery shopping and other area where there are parking lots to avoid getting my custom jeep nicked up or hit by a careless driver. The white fleck paint job with a few coats of clear, on my Jeep, was fairly expensive to have someone careless leave their door hit mine to spite the protective strips Jeep put on at the factory. Also I consider my Jeep a high theft item.
