Thanks for posting this film, very interesting behind the scenes look at the 64 conventions ( i was 14 mos. at the time) . The 60's , from what i can remember, were a very exciting, yet difficult time in this country . Great that utube exists, so we can see our past.

Agreed. Unfortunately, MOST citizens of the U.S. had no idea of what LBJ was truly made of. My parents both voted for him. I was raised in a Democratic environment. We visited the LBJ Ranch. Little did we know how extremely different the party would begin to change after JFK's assassination. Isn't it strange that in this video, even though Bobby Kennedy's speech was highly regarded and well received by convention attendees, not one word was included in this film. Johnson couldn't stand the Kennedys. We deserve all of the facts, not just the general high points.

@@racer774 Kennedy was too moderate for LBJ in 1964. Also, none of the Kennedys had actual experience with minorities like LBJ did

The commentary said Rockefeller had dropped out of contention for the Republican nomination before the day of the roll call vote of the state’s and threw his support to Scranton, yet the tally board showed Rockefeller with over 100 votes during the voting. Wouldn’t Scranton have won if all the Rockefeller votes went to him?
