I bought a Nova that we thought was a Mega Shifter but ends up it’s a crusty Star that stuck permanent neutral haha. Won’t shift into anything. So hopefully get it working again with some PB Blaster and WD-40. I’ve had Mega’s and Quicksilvers but never one of these guys. I think that triangular metal slide you were noticing go upto the line in first etc is crusted stuck. Hopefully can make it live again. 🤘🏼
can you go directly from 3rd on ratchet mode to drive ? and can i go from D straight to ratchet mode 3rd? ratchet from what i can tell the gears are aligned P R N D 2 1 (3 2 1 ) so i like cruising around in D and shift from D to 2 for a passing gear or 2 to 1 for a low speed romp. but if im at a light do i have to shift all the way down to 1, and then into ratchet mode? id kinda like to just bump it straight over to ratchet mode if i want to engage it at speed, sorta like a his and her shifter.
Hmm.. in storage for the winter now. Maybe someone else can chime in. If memory serves, I believe you have to pull up on the lock when switching from D to Ratchet mode, and also lift the lock to put it back in D
