In the latest instalment of the series, I am rebuilding the clutch and brake master cylinders and pedal towers on my old Land Rover. Music is Riding into the Sun - Telecasted from RU-vid Library.
I saw only the 3 videos you made, not the YT shorts ones, but i might look on them as well. But i gotta say that i like this content and it's really interresting to see something different from like Skodas, Volkswagens etc. It's really fun to watch this and i can't wait for next videos. Cheers from CZ mate, you're doing a great job. Keep it up.
These are the jobs I have to look forward to. All together they look a bit daunting, but one by one it seems doable. Watching someone else do these jobs helps immensely. Thanks for putting this out.🙏
Your bulkhead is in really good shape! The door posts and footwells on my 88” 2a were rusted out and had to be replaced. Nice videos. Hello from the U.S.
Howdy. If you see this question: can you say anything more about that spacer you fitted under the slave cylinder? why was it needed, and thickness etc? Cheers.
Hi! Off the top of my head it is to do with the dimensions/travel of the larger diesel type clutch (9.5" rather than 9" as was standard for petrol engines) and how that effects the linkages when you set it up. I think it is needed to get the maximum amount of available adjustment for the slave cylinder pushrod and in the pedal as well. I'm sure it isn't 100% required but it is in the parts diagram. It was just a 1/4" thick plate I think. Thanks
Is there any chance you could measure the packing piece between the clutch slave cylinder and the brack please?. I need to make one and can't find diagram anywhere. Manythanks
