Very nice restoration! I have a 1965 model 7254 that I restored in 2006. It has been in my family since new. I still use it to this day. Built to last and really easy to push. Thanks for sharing !
I just received a 90’s law boy gold series with 5.0 hp engine the crank has some play in it I can wiggle the blade a bit. I would assume I need a new bearing… just looking for some advice I really love and enjoy the machine. Thanks for the videos I really enjoy them!
This model was the first mower I ever mowed with. It was my grandmothers. My uncle got it when she passed in 1983. I got it when he passed in 2018. Prime it 2 times and it still starts on the first pull. Not as pretty as this one, but a runner. How cool is that shroud design!?
MY GOD!!!! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!! YOU DID A FANTASTIC JOB RESTORING THIS MACHINE.. I'D LOVE TO HAVE THIS IN MY COLLECTION. IF YOU SOLD IT, WHAT IT GO FOR?
Ahhh! I forgot about the beige ‘hammerhead shark’ Lawn Boys like this, but I remember them coming in for service at the lawnmower shop I hung around as a kid. Probably one of the neatest looking vintage LB’s and a totally practical mower, though you’ve made it so nice, I’d cringe to mow with it!
I've got one of these in New Zealand we call them Iron Horse I didn't know but when I put a new piston in it was a Johnson piston outboard and crank bearings Evinrude bearings I think. with.5 oversize piston they go very well
Where do you get your grips for the handles? Is it some kind of heat shrink tubing type thing? I need one in white for a lawn boy I am restoring. (I don’t want to give a whole lot. If I think they’re too expensive I guess I’ll just use some kind of white tape.)
