I love that picture of a young girl proud to drive an absolute classic car with imperfections and not worrying what everyone will think of her. My daughter just wants a new boring car and so affected by peer pressure.
Well. What do you drive ? I drove my daughters in a 68 F 100. Saw a 67 stang in a grassy field when she was 14. Bought the car. Restored it. Is it you ? Not her ?
@@cammontreuil7509 that’s Awesome making those great memories. Feel free to check out our videos out of the 65 . It sat outside under a tarp from 79’to 2020 . She did a lot of the work to get it going ..
😢I am very sorry for you! But didn't you teach your daughter that individuality is very important??? A perfect car can drive anyone, a unique piece only one....
Can someone tell me how to upload a pic frm my ph album? I would like to upload one of my daughter's pic or video. Your response will greatly appreciated.
@@SouthOmahaSpeed It needs a ton of work. And a ton of money. I am always amazed and impressed when something this rough gets transformed. But I hope she doesn't make it more important than her schooling. That car ain't gonna feed her or her babies that all beautiful young girls eventually have.
Brings me joy to, I’m 26 and bought a 84 z28 when I was 20. My friends didn’t think it was a good decision to get such an old car. But I always loved the way old cars looked compared to modern ones.
Comments based off people's age seems so weird in 2024. Like, anyone can enjoy a car these days. I'd say more people enjoy the older cars now than ever
Time and effort is all it will take to bring that classic back.Classics are way cooler than the cars today I have a 1986 Toyota Century that gets so much attention because it's unique and different.
I don't know if this was her first time driven this classic , but I know for sure it's a memorie that will live forever . Thank yall for sharing a great moment in time .
GREAT Choice, on Rims & Tires ! GREAT LOOKING CAR ! I Had Owned a White 1966 2+2 Mustang Fastback. 289, 4 Speed. Black Interior, with Red-Valor Bucket Seats, out of a 1976 Grand Prix ! It was "COOL" !😁 And Comfortable !! 😁👍
Вот что значит пропаганда забугорного кинематографа. 🤦♀️Боюсь вас те же амеры и не поймут. И вы не поймёте, почему они над вами смеются. А смеяться они над вами будут.
@@SouthOmahaSpeed years ago they were building stock cars out of them here , to race on our ovel track . The didn’t last long , so rusty . The coastal weather just eats vehicles .👍🇨🇦
@@thanos7292 You shouldn't remove the charme of this unique look. New paint is easy to get but it can't beat the original 1965 livery telling the car's history. Just cover it with clear coat.
Wow !!! That’s exactly what I wanted back in 1983-84. A 64 1/2 to 66. 4 speed, a coupe or fast back. Found a 65 4 speed, can’t remember exactly but the guy wanted like $5000.00 for it. And my reasoning was for not getting it was they were less than that new. If I had only known, I would have probably still had it today!!
@@ЕвгенийЖенк бред, я думаю просто к этому ещё не подготовили просто кузов. Скорее всего либо кислотой либо пескоструем нужно будет всë делать, а это и не дёшево и разобрать на атомы практически машину надо
@@SouthOmahaSpeed ... Certainly it's your prerogative to work your car as you see fit. However, if you have an original car, even with rustout, it could be value beneficial to maintain it in as close to stock configuration as possible. Presumably you've already dropped a very substantial chunk of change in it. The combination under the hood gave great performance for what it is. You might find it's not a disappointment at all. FWIW. I'm not a Ford guy at all, but I'm one of the guys who's seen a lot in my 7 decade stretch. If I was looking for a Mustang, I'd try to get a first year '64½. It's more like the Falcons than the Fairlanes. The generator can be made effective and if you want V8 power, 260s were available. Of course they're rather rare on their own, but an imaginative builder can badge a 289 or 302, maybe even a 351W to look like a 260 so it can pass most examinations. Just some dusty thoughts from a sleeper guy. Quiet exhaust and lots of power are fun.
why do people say under the hood when talking about the engine.. of course it is under the hood. where else would it be in an american muscle car.... 4 speed on the floor?
@@JW...-oj5iw 289 2 barrel cars are not worth anything. They should have paid $5,000 or around that for the condition it’s in. They’ll make it worth more with what they plan on doing to it.
@@ohboy2592 ... You're certainly entitled to your expert opinion, knowing the correct price of any car in every market, plus assuring everyone that the money spent on the Mustang is wasted because the engine (which obviously runs even though it's burned up with a cracked block, because it's not worth anything) must be replaced. Yes, that opinion is what must be heeded, because this person said so. All bow in reverence to the before unknown Lord of Ford.
I would just make sure it's mechanically sound and daily drive it for at least 5 years before I even thought about painting, and probably just keep it in that patina, it really looks good. A fresh bright red 65 interior would look great with that silversmoke grey paint, but black interior is cool too. Very nice 2+2 👌 I have a 66 c code 3 spd fastback in arcadian blue, all original panels, zero rust besides some surface patina. I'd sure like to have that 65 along side it.
Thanks Edwin , she likes the exterior this way for now. We have the front floor panel to replace . Leaky heater core took it out and bad spot in the cowl. Finish the interior nice and she will be set . Thanks for watching . We have a video on here that shows the car before we started . It had sat for close to 40 years in a back yard in Oakland CA
@@SouthOmahaSpeed was this the fastback from the estate sale whit the person who has dozens of early Thunderbirds and tons of other ford chrome and doors and 2 69 Ford cobras .
@@gregallen4272 This car came from a backyard in Oakland, CA . In 2020 we pulled it from its resting spot where it was parked in 1979 . Sat under a tarp and plywood was stacked up against so nobody could tell what it was . Feel free to watch our RU-vid series we just started sharing . I do a walk around on a lift . Still has grease pin markings underneath from the San Jose assembly plant. Crazy
That's one very patina-ed Mustang. I love the smile on the young lady's face as she drives off. I drive my 68 Fairmont sedan daily and it just makes my day, it doesn't go fast, it doesn't steer so well and it's hard to stop, but I have a smile on my face mile after mile. It's old school cool like this Mustang.
My cousin who loved the classics, bought one to restore, plus a few more, and let me drive his Mustang and his shortbed GMC. He passed away just a few days later. The Mustang, which was in similar condition, was a beast. It shot it to 80 very quickly, but I backed it off quickly, knowing that most of the car was nearly as old as me at that time. RIP cousin; it was a ride to remember, not because of the car but your smile when I hit 2nd gear and you had a great heart from the soul, but the physical heart, not so much. Gone way too soon, brother.
Thank you @graceamerican3558 l. He was one of the most empathetic people that I have known, always more worried more for others than himself, and had a great sense of humor, both traits passed down from his father. He had a talent for music but was born deaf in one ear... ask him how he learned all the music, and he would say he didn't know and say "I just play by ear; this ear" and point at his good ear and smile.
Yeah I know the feeling man somebody I'm looking at a TV my boss brought from one of his friends that he do business with he was retiring at the beanie years in the pawn shop businessr he was selling everything in his house because he was moving to a retirement center we're he could be better cared for at the time I didn't know the extent of his illness, and I saw his flat screen TV I told my boss is this for sale too hey my boss went in and negotiated with him to get the price not down and he said he'll for John phuc yea that was my name cuz I've been with my boss up to that point for 10 years so I'm looking at my very first flat-screen TV that was six years a month later my boss told me he done passed away. And this TV is still working just as good and I cannot bear to part with it because that's the only memory I have of him up to that point I never had a flat screen TV before Adam made some upgrades like hooking up mini box PC. So now I don't turn the TV into a PC still working good on me man after all these years. Sometimes memories are meant for lifetime the only thing that's going to make me sad is who's going to get this TV next 😢
Thank you RA9. At first she did not like the way it looks . But now she loves it. She took it to a couple shows and people really liked they way it looks. I was trying to tell her… but sometime kids need to hear it from someone other then dad .lol
@@SouthOmahaSpeed only bad part it's a four-door but they still look good if they're restored, the interior still looks new. 68,000 original no tear in the seats. I'm fixing to start restoring it again.
My first car 1967 Mustang V8, 4 speed convertible. Bought in 1972 for $500. It used to beat the Roadrunners. Gas 40 cents per gallon for high test. Rent $195/months for 2br 1bath on the lake near Ft Laudable fl. Great times.
@@markusa5521 those Back A Rudas were great, too! I recently saw an all original 65 here in Central Ohio, near my home in a wrecking yard... Original red paint and interior. I'm not sure if it was a V8 car or not, but it was certainly straight and rust free. No one there that day could put a price on it and I forgot all about it until just now when I saw your comment. I'll call over there tomorrow and ask if it's still available... If you want, I can relay the message and tell you what they're asking for it... If it's still there.

That's one of those cars that is just as beautiful in that condition as it is restored. It doesn't matter that there isn't any paint on it it's still looks amazing it's still a cool car even without paint.😊😊😊
Bought me first car in '82, it was a '67 coupe, 200 six with an automatic. It was ELEVEN different colors when I drove it home. Went to Walmart and bought 12 rattle cans of baby blue, and it was beautiful. At least, to me. And later, her.
That’s awesome that she appreciated that classic car. Her and her dad will probably work together to restore it to its glory. They will become a lot closer and build an awesome relationship and get a classic car out of the deal.
Thank you for the kind words. She put a lot of hard work to get it to that point . Nice to see her enjoy it some during the process. Thanks for watching
A little bit of surface rust won't hurt it because it still turns heads. Just wait when it's fully resprayed - it will be drop dead gorgeous. Automotive beauty is like fine wine -it can only get better. ❤❤❤❤

That thing is beautiful. And she actually looks like she appreciates it. Knew a girl whose dad restored a 67 for her since she was a child and she traded it in for a prius within 2 years. 😢 Couldnt believe someone could do that to such a labor of love

Only thing which I can remember about Prius, be movie 🎥 with Russel Crow, where he drive, and be scene in this movie with policemen whom be surprised “whom can be drive Prius?” 🙂
