1964 was a great year coming out with the g.t.o. whitch they weren't expecting to be such a great seller. So im thinking Pontiac had to step it up in 65 with one of the best g.t.o. interior and body. But what I've also noticed was they also were the first to make factory style steel mag wheels. Hell the corvette didn't have steel mag wheels then. Plus they had those eight lug rims on the grand prix, and the first to come out with the endura nose in 68. They were really on thier game in the 60.s, for a division that almost got dropped by g.m. in the early days. Thanks to John DeLorean jim wangers and pete estes who saved Pontiac motor division

Best year ever though is the 67 you can't go wrong with a good old GTO long body 1970 came around and they did the judge the short body it's a good car don't get me wrong but it ain't no long body and that's Fasho......

If I was in the position financially to own a GTO this would be the year that I would love to own a 1965, due to the fact that's the year I was born we're both 59 years old.
