I've read that one of the most infamous errors for a 65' quarter was that some were accidentally made out of 90% silver. 65' was the first year that these coins were supposed to switch over to strictly copper/nickel composition, with 64' being the last year of 90% silver. So, if your 65 quarter is still mostly silver then you're probably looking at several hundred or perhaps $1,000.
I EVER SAID THAT YOU DEAR CHRISTIAN HAVE THE TRULY WORDS TO EXPLAIN ALL NUMISMATICS FACTS.THATS MAKE ME FEEL SO GREAT ,KNOWING FOR THE FUTURE,KNOWING TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT OUR NUMIS LEGACY THANKS TO TREASURE TOWN COINS AND HIS HOST CHRISTIAN..HAVE A BLESSED WEEKEND☀🌈💖
That's if your talking about the silver transitional error quarter. Very few have been found however the ddo is worth quite a bit especially in high grades.
I have one of those no mint 65’s. Another anomaly I found with mine is the edge is rounded and narrower on one side, and squared and thicker on the other
Thanks Christian for this video clip. I just found out that I have the 1965 with dd on Obverse (in god we trust) and on reverse DD on full United States Of America, DD on eagle, prominent on tip of both wing and head and DD on U of quarter RTER appears struck with a coasting die or weak strike and all letter of dollar are DD. This is a circulated coin but looking very good. do you suggest having it graded? I'm a newbie....thanks again. Edit: after posting I check again the eagle and found out that some of the leaves below the eagle are DD.
Hi riwm45! I'd love to help you out with this. That's awesome. There is sometimes machine doubling as sometimes genuine doubling. I would love for you to send me a photo of your coins at chartchwork@gmail.com - that way I can post to some coin websites to see other peoples' opinions of the coin. If they think it's doubling then I can help you with the grading process.
Mine has the copper and nickel switched, where the nickel is on top and copper in bottom. Is this normal for this coin? All my other quarters are opposite.
I have a 1989 d with a big error George Washington face is just a silhouette. There’s no eyes no nose no face no details at all. How much is this worth?
I put all my change in my wallet aka the front pocket of my backpack. When it gets heavy I sit down and go through it. If I have managed to save $25 in change I consider it a win. Today I found a 1942 D Mercury Dime, two off center 1991 P Roosevelt Dimes, a 1964 D Nickle (no steps 🥲), 1961 no MM Roosevelt Dime, a 1940 Wheat Penny and the 1965 Quarter in this video. This quarter has so many doubles I'm going to call it The Double Royal with Cheese. Half of the letters on the entire quarter are double. That goes for the numbers also. The 1 and the 5 in the date, 1965, are also doubled. Not sure of the quality. Seems to be in pretty good shape for being in circulation since 1965. The hunt is on to find a value. Come on mama needs a beer and tacos!

i am working on a friends hoard i have like 60 1965 coins 15 buck more or less a lot of them our ddo & ddr also i weight them half was 5.66 range but 12 was over 5.72 & 12 was under 5.57 i was looking for 6.06 like the 64 i found in these. one of them is missing the chad coating on both side & one looks like the eagle is spitting
Thanks for the video. I actually had the last coin you pictured and was told by some "experts" in a Facebook coin group that it was nothing more than machine doubling so I put it back into circulation. I guess that illustrates the point that you need not take other people's word for things, but do your own research.
Hey I found an interesting error just now on one of 1965 quarters, that no one has mentioned... on obverse, where the 9 is, there is a molten blob at 2oclock touching the 9 and the bust edge.
Okay I have a 1965 Washington quarter that has no space between the W and we and the D in God is it worth anything? Because I'm about to be homeless. And I could really use some good news, and a break. Thank you. God bless.
I have a 1969 double struck dime there's two Philadelphia marks or Denver marks I can't make it out I can't see for crab but it's a 1969 dime is it worth anything
