That dash and center console was the best looking one back then. Second place: 1964 Buick Riviera.

Nice ride. That is a "SwingAway" steering wheel. Be perfect if it had the 428 engine. These cars were heavy, over 4000 LBS. Not real fast but a true "Gentleman's" cruiser. Sweet!

I always thought the 66's were the best looking cars from this generation T-Bird. The front fascia has just a slightly more modern looking design compared to the 64's and 65's. The full-width "bow tie" taillights are another nice feature of the 66, and the maroon/black color scheme looks good on this car.

Sorry but the 1966 T-Bird was about the worst looking of T-Birds, when they insisted on dropping the round tail lights, and the amazing front features of the T-Bird they not only compromised the looks, they also lost the integrity of the T-Bird.

I totally disagree the tail lights on the 66 were far ahead of its time in style and class either as the saying goes either got or you haven`t got style if you got it you stand out a mile and the 66 stood out more than a mile I owned a 61 64 65 and a 66 and the 66 was the best , my 65 special Landau was the prettiest won 2nd place in car show in San Diego ca apx 2986 the identical car to mine beat me out of 1st place because when I replaced the Landau top I put a tan color on and it should have been white .
