Very nicely done. I've been building "choppers" close to fifty years, really like your oil tank setup the whole clean look of this bike. I look at it and am thinking "do I have to bend up a rigid frame for my Bonnie this winter?" I've got a 78, pretty much stone stock, enjoy the upright riding position, the very fine handling and comfortable ride, but the clean lines, light weight, easy maneuvering can't be had any other way I don't think. I had a 64 TR6R back in the seventies, sold it in the early eighties, and regretted selling ever since. I believe the 650's were the epitome of the parallel twins, even my 750 isn't quite the bike I used to have. I also had about eight XS 650's back in the nineties, bought a whole lot of about eight bikes, and built them all back up, sold them for a song, barely paid their own way back together, but had half a dozen friends all riding together for a short few years. Thanks for sharing your bike, great to look at, sounds great as well, very nice chop!
I am so obsessed with my Triumph bobber. I've had it for 32 years and this summer has gotten me to actually put some work into it. Started it for the first time in 25 years. Looking for a place to place a remote oil filter.
Nice clean ride. Love the classic Hildebrandt beehive oil tank. BTW. I have always thought it very odd that there was a speed equipment manufacturer called Hildebrandt and another named Halibrand.
