Thanks for taking the time to post this honest and thorough work through. I have a '66 and was thinking about the conversion, but with the price you paid for this kit, it should be bolt on without the hassles. I'll stay drums or come up with my own conversion.

This video gives me hope that I can now do a disc brake conversion on my 1967 convertible. When traveling at 75 mph, it scares the crap outta me if you have to do a hard brake, the car will go to change lanes on you. This will be my first spring project. I may also do a total engine rebuild. Also thinking of swapping an LS engine into her.

@@aurelmoumeni3246 I am currently waiting ( ? 3-4 weeks) for my resto shop to fit me in. Definitely getting the engine rebuilt (no LS motor, he wanted $50k !!). While its getting the engine rebuilt I want him to do the brake upgrade. Hopefully everything done by springtime car shows.

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and guess that there was wheel bearing failure rather quickly with the lack of grease and preload on them. But I could be wrong it definitely wouldn’t be the first time

Thanks so much man I didn't think I'd find a video like this. I have a 1966 sedan de ville, will I run into the same issues you had ? With having to get spacers and stuff ? Also will the disc brakes still fit with the original wheels and etc until I find aftermarket ones? Thanks a lot again really hope to hear from you soon!

+boston wise Guy The customer had a Series 75 Limousine, you should not run into these issues. We sell these Brake Kits internationally all the time and have never had an issue. If you buy the spacers (out of precaution) and end up not using them, we will gladly take them back with no restocking fee. The Brake kits will fit original wheels. www.caddydaddy.com/catalogsearch/result/?cat=0&q=1966+disc+brake

Also what brake hoses you used?
@Caddydaddy

here are no hoses at the master cylinder, all-steel lines. The kit for the actual brakes comes with hoses. Josh

Technically the Americans never had or drove cars..they were all trucks..there chassis was built just like any truck of the time from Europe..also all engines that were in cars were also used in most full size trucks from the 50s 60s and 70s..in Europe we had actual cars that had dedicated engines and gearbox for that application..never was a truck engine or gearbox put in a car..
