@JJ's DIY Garage the sheet metal on those vans is pretty stout. My area was hit by massive hail storm in 14' and my 67 econoline was the only vehicle that didn't look like a golf ball. Well, truthfully, my fiero wasn't dented either. Not a single dent on the van, but the worst off were the Hondas and Toyotas. 25 Years ago I used a sanding disk on my angle grinder to gently remove light surface rust from the roof of my fox body mustang and it heat warped so easily! Thats why I'm concerned. Keep up the hard work! Looking forward to seeing your progress 👍
I felt that the sandblaster/powerwasher deal wouldn't work all that well. It would be slow to use a stripper attachment. I wonder what it would cost to send it off to a sandblasting company? I would take that radiator to a radiator shop. Often those repair shops can refurbish that radiator cheaper than buying a new one. As for the floorplans, maybe you might want to shell out the 280 bucks for the pans. Sometimes it's worth the extra money to save time and aggravation. You can do that job quicker and move on to the huge list of stuff you have to do.
It was wishful thinking. Theoretically it would work if the hopper was on top..I called around the cheapest was a mobile ductless blasting company...$1600. I will be striping paint for a few days but it will get done. For around $100 in stripping disks
