Nice truck. Love the drive video, as it looks like you are driving a right hand drive truck, which we do in Australia. I am building a 1970 bump side short bed with a 5.4 290 Boss out of a GT Falcon. The GT also donated the auto and front end with rack and pinion steer.
I never knew Australia had the 5th gen (67-72) F100 , I knew about the 6th gen. That's good to know because I would love a RHD F100 Because i live in the UK.
I have owned 3 different 1967 f series trucks. But mine didn't sit low like yours. I owned mine in the 80's and early 90's and people usually only lowered small trucks back then. But I like yours, makes me wish I still had one of my old trucks.
I've got a few more to build that will be a mix of ride heights, but I really want to do a tasteful 4x4 build. I guess I like the irony of an old truck cornering and performing better than the sports cars of that day, even comparable to today. This truck needs an update walk around...it's got a 4 bar and coilover setup in the rear and a new powerplant. Such a fun corner carver.
After driving those old '67's, I'd have a hard time taking it hard into a corner especially at first. I think I'd have to work up the courage a little at a time until I could figure out where it's new limits are. Because they did not corner well with a stock suspension. Of course they were not designed to. What you have sounds like it could be a blast to take out on the curvy country roads where I live.
@@hueyfabllc4987 I'm getting ready to start my 68 F100 build. Doing a crown Vic swap S550 rear with a coyote swap and an MT82 trans. I'm running ATP coilovers and ATP fuel cell. I follow you over IG, can't wait to see what you got planned for the truck and the upgrades.
@@hueyfabllc4987 I'm hoping to have it done by late spring to take it down to the Grand Nationals, I'd like to go to Ford fest at beech bend with it at least do the cruise maybe a little autocross. I'm going against the grain I'm building a long bed... Lol
Great video. We came very close to going Supercharged DOHC 5.4 in our shop truck about a year ago. Ended up deciding it was just too much for what we want to do with the truck. Looking forward to seeing how yours turns out.
Oh nice! Yea, 4-500 is plenty in these old trucks for just a fun cruiser. All the coyote trucks I've driven feel perfectly balanced, anything above that feels like it needs a cage, brakes ,etc.
Awsome truck for sure! I was always a Ford guy starting with Mini trucks in the 90s. Trying to hit some Ford only shows this year I didn't make any at all yet.
@@hueyfabllc4987 I was in TN last year 4 times for shows but not that one Lol i tried to hit the PF show but couldn't find a place to stay I almost drove down for day checked everything out then drove home 10hrs ish one way for me
@@hueyfabllc4987 Yeah man definitely! I talked to Solomon this year after the PF show he told me I should of hit him up he could of found me a couch easy. He's a good dude
Just found your channel..subscribed!!.. cool vid..how many have noticed the 68 model passenger door..😁..great work..God Bless will be set to the bell ring for next vids!!! 👍
I haven't done much on the Galaxie.....actually contemplating putting it up for sale. I need to do a video on the Johnny Cash build still, and should be starting on the crew cab towards the end of summer!
Hope you'll wanna review the 64 when it's finished it's still old school but positive changes I believe. I've been hush hush about it but hope ya dig it. You may get to see it before may
@@hueyfabllc4987 yeah watching your in cab shot, I’m just thinking how nice it could be with your voice over still running but with rolling shots all over to keep the visuals of the truck on screen. Holler at me I think you have me email just shoot me an email sometime if not holler at Craig and I know he has me contact
Deleted the cats. The old mod motor PCM is a far cry from the newer coyote stuff, so in open loop, it learned well enough to be driven and not have major issue, but typically a tune is required.
Ah, I just subscribed and found your colors are red white and black too. You know, people are starting to figure out the dead head symbolism and the gematria codes hidden in plain sight..
Awesome truck, channel and name of your company. I’m glad you broke everything down on your build. I also have a 67 F100 with a Vic front and Explorer rear. Your engine bay looks clean and very squared away. Every other video with a 4.6 looks very crowded, with no room for error. What did you keep and leave out for your engine swap. I also see that you have AC. I know it’s a loaded question. If you have time to call/ text that would be great. I would love to pick your brain. FYI I’m a fireman so if I don’t answer please please leave a message.
Hey man like your videos on Frank and the Red truck. I got a question., I'm building a 1969 F100 with CV front, I have choice of 3 rear axles - 1998 Explorer non posi drum, 1997 Grand Marquis disc non posi 3.27 gear and 03 mustang gt posi disc brakes 3.73 gear ratio, what rear would you use?
Are those little round mirrors a factory option or something like for a blind spot mirror? My 72 has those and I’ve seen a couple other old bump side Fords with them.
No, these weren't a factory option. I picked these up from Hunters and they're a pretty popular option for got rodders. I think I may swap to door mirrors like factory style, though.
@@hueyfabllc4987 Yeah I hear ya. I can’t see shit out of mine…😂 I have seen a truck with them mounted about mid way down the A pillar… That seems like a Better place for them and it didn’t look bad either. But he also had the small door mirrors and I believe he said he used them for blind spot mirrors.
Very! The truck has a 4 link setup in the rear now, which was a huge improvement over the leafs. It was still fine with the leafs, I just can't leave stuff alone!😆
@Huey Fab LLC I'm planning on the 4 link in the rear. What axle did you end up going with on the 4 link? I've got similar size wheels and tires and am trying to avoid modifying the bed lol
EFI tank from tanks Inc for a 1970 mustang for fuel tank, stock column with borgeson joints and shaft to connect to the vic rack, and this old setup used the stock 4.6 intake tube and stock maf housing.
I did all of the work. The master cylinder setup us from Silver Sport Transmissions and the slave cylinder is from Modern Driveline. Just a pullout trans from an 03 mach 1.
@@hueyfabllc4987 what did you end up doing for pedals? I saw you Mentioned mustang Pedals but is that as easy as a Facebook marketplace pickup or? I’ve got a 3650 I just picked up but will need a clutch, flywheel etc hence reason for swap kit. Also not 100% if I will need hydraulic clutch pedals or something different
@@ziggy760 I originally hoped to use the mustang pedals, but ended up shortening the stock clutch and brake setup from the truck and adding wilwood pedal pads. Far less fab work and looks/feels great!
I thought that was the Eastman building lol. I live in etown. I love the truck and hope to have something similar to it. I kinda like the 78-79 f150 style myself but definitely an amazing build
@@hueyfabllc4987 Thanks for the reply, I have an 06 police car that I’m going to get the front out of and an 02 police car for the rear. The 4.6 is knocking so I’m going with a 390 or a Cleveland just to be a little different.
@@hueyfabllc4987 I looked at your insta and great pics from recent progress. I'm super interested in the z of the frame though as I will be doing this with a cv swap as well. If you don't mind some questions, how did you still use thr factory cab mount if the Z is right behind them? Obviously not able to use the factory rivet locations. Sorry in advance for picking your brain I greatly appreciate your responses!
@@hueyfabllc4987 did you have to modify the bottom of the cab or firewall any? If im looking correctly if you raise the frame behind the CV control arm plates the frame is going to hit the bottom of the cab
@@hueyfabllc4987 I've got a 67 bump short bed that im about to gift to my dad for his birthday and about to buy a 69 so I know the love for these things its crazy how low you got the rear with just flipping the shackle and setting it up on top any issues with the shocks in the rear?
