Beautiful drums - both sets! I'm currently restoring a set of cobalt blue Turbo Tour Customs but came across a set of 1967 Ludwigs yesterday and found this video to help me consider them. Imagine my surprise seeing those mellow yellow beauties in the background. I'm just as impressed with the Ludwigs as I am hearing your skills. Great video. Thanks for posting it!
@@deejaaywalker2314 thanks! I actually parted with this set as I have a 65 super classic, and am working on a 67 Hollywood. So this set became redundant.
i've got a 1967 deluxe classic set........all original, peddle, hi hat cymbal stands, original paiste hi hats. the other two desingrated..............blue sparkle. metal snare original
? To me this guy has shown no dynamic abilities behind the kit. No push or pull no volume bump up or down just a bunch of quads and triplets. In a room full of very expensive drums. And again I'm not being rude this is just an observation.
@@Jetty-xd9yc so where’s your videos? Ha, just kidding, it’s not like I’m playing in a band situation, I am primarily a rock and metal drummer. I do play in a cover band occasionally mostly 60’s & 70’s pop and r&b.
love ludwig to death, sad that a lot of famous new drummers dont use them, ludwig paiste remo, the best, im also very interested in the yamaha kit in the back you should make a vidio of that some day to, thank you for the vidio
The kit actually came with the "vintage" remo heads. I like emporers/diplomats on most of my drums. And btw the one 2002 crash is dry because it is very keyholed at the bell. I also have a black label ride but the bell isn't as nice.
loving shells but vintage ambassador are more suitable for thicker shells to me. Vintage re reing Ludwig sound killer with simple ply ambassador. A matter of taste... Your 18 crash sound very dry for a 2002. I like it. I would like to have a set of black vintage 2002, they still expensive thought
I had a Ludwig 6 piece double bass kit of this vintage back in the 80's. Everyone laughed at me because I didn't have power toms and huge hardware lol. Sadly I sold it for like $500 way back when before the collector craze! Gaah! Kick myself all the time.
It a drum set review, there are hundreds of videos of drummers just playing drums with no information on what is original or what is what. I post the vids to be informative, and in the event that I sell one, (like I did with this one) I can watch a video of it and all of its shortcomings and not want to buy another. And most of these kits were deals, I’ve never paid over a grand for any of my drum sets. Most were $200-500 or piecemealed together.
