not a comment ,but a question. I spent my summers at my uncles in ballard between 1958 thu 62. My uncle worked gave yards at formost.which got us pit passes.Question i have i was told that some of yhe boat cooled there engine by running 90%water and ten % nitro methane.backed up nitrus oxide.Was that true or were they puller a kids leg.I did notice water coming out of exhast on some boats on startup.😀
I was at the 1968 World Championships at Lake Tahoe and saw her race, I still have the ticket tag button from it. I here its worth some $ now but would never part with it
Watched her race at Sea Fair in the late 60s. Those unlimited races on Lake Washington were great. I could walk from our house to Green Lake for the limited races
I had a great uncle that was a crew member for a time on Miss Bardahl, not sure which years, but this is the right era. Thanks for posting. Cool to see
@@PAKiller1 no. Here are the Notre Dame drivers from 1962 on- Warner Gardner, Bill Muncey, Rex Manchester, Jim McCormick, Jack Regas, Leif Borgersen, Billy Sterett and Ron Larsen. Schumacher drove a couple tail enders, Miss Tool Crib was one Dont remember the other but might have been $ Bill and maybe a Such Crust. He did a lot of test driving on the cab over Bardahl. Then drove Miss Batdahl in 1967 and 68. Parco's O Ring Miss in 1970, the Pride of Pay 'n Pak 1971 and 72. From 1974 through 1976 he drove Valu Mart/Weisfield's/ Olympia Beer ( same boat, different name each year.)
