Montage of stills from films nominated for major Oscars for the year 1967 (presented at the 40th Academy Awards on April 10, 1968) set to a popular song from 1967.
Whatta sublime year for cinema! My picks would be: Best Picture: "Bonnie and Clyde" Best Director: Mike Nichols, "The Graduate" Best Actor: Dustin Hoffman, "The Graduate" Best Actress: Anne Bancroft, "The Graduate" Best Supporting Actor: Gene Hackman, "Bonnie and Clyde" Best Supporting Actress: Estelle Parsons, "Bonnie and Clyde" Best Original Screenplay: David Newman and Robert Benton, "Bonnie and Clyde" Best Adapted Screenplay: Buck Henry and Calder Willingham, "The Graduate" Best Cinematography: "Playtime" Best Film Editing: "Bonnie and Clyde" Best Art Direction: "Playtime" Best Costume Design: "Bonnie and Clyde" Best Score: "The Jungle Book" Best Foreign Language Film: "Playtime"
The Graduate is also my fave ; in my opinion the year with the best five nominees is 1975 (one flew... the best one) ; my favourite oscar "duels" are in 1974 The Godfather Part II - Chinatown and in 2007 There Will Be Blood - No Country for Old Men. Also 1994 was great (Pulp my fave)
This video really make me feel bad. Not because is awful, its great by the way and the music jaja excellent :D... What i try to say is that the academy award for best actor, actress ans suppporting acrtess where robbed. The cast of the Graduate should have won : Anne Bancrfot, Dustin Hoffman and Katharine Ross. And for best picture, also The Graduate. Great year of movie, great nominations, AWFUL CHOICES!!
