Who cares what other people think. It’s your model, build it how you want. Looks great. FYI, instead of spraying the CA setting, I put I tiny bit in a cup and use a toothpick and dab it on the glue area. I hate the way it’s kind of greasy. Great point on using acrylic for panel lining. I had one were it kind of stained. Thanks.👍

I can't drill out the distributor either,,, try this, super glue the end of the wires between the posts and then glue a round piece of plastic on top of the distributor wires, after paint it looks like a aftermarket distributor wire hold down plate,,, soooo much easier

I know most car modeler already know this but......when drilling individual holes in the distributer, we all use a pin vise and jewelers bits which can be challenging to say the least. I hate when the bit crosses over into the next hole. ANYWAY, how I try to illuminate this is , I set up a pen type butane torch, clamp it on my work bench, and heat up a VERY fine pointy sewing needle and make starterholes in the distributer. Now when I use my pin vise, I now have starter holes that are less likely going to travel to the next hole and mess everything up. Its NOT a perfect method, but it does work. Like Matt kind of mentions, most car model builders are not going to install sparkplug wires. I pick and choose what kits will get them . When doing a custom street rod,I will definitely install wires. When it is a bone stock car build, I have less likelihood of putting in that extra effort. I am by myself, I never have company to show off my 3D Art, nor do I go to shows/ car model contests , so why am I going thee extra mile on every single kit ? Especially when you know ahead of time your building a kit that has alot of issues . NEW WAY ! I will save my efforts for Foose type kits or similar.Mobius kits are a lock. They will be build with as much detail as I possibly can. I have an old Revell Rick Dobbertons J-2000 Kit.This kit was crazy popular when it came out. This model, "If"......I build it, I will spare no detail . This puppy WILL BE tricked out with everything imaginable. This kit will have its own display case too. Anyway, I hope I'm not boring anyone reading my comments? For Matt, I have a great idea for you if you wanna make money and help your channel grow. Sell T-shirts that say "Make Scale Car Model Building GREAT AGAIN" ! Add car model manufacturers logo's on the shirts. Maybe show a picture of father and son,or your case, father and daughter , sharing quality time together. SOMETHING LIKE THAT LOL ! I would definitely buy a T-shirt 👕 ! 😎👍

Lol I'm 45 now but when I started to build models I was probably @9 or so. None of my friends that where building models with me never got into the extra details when doing models. I always tried to add that extra detail to models to make them stick out because I'm always paying extra attention to that when looking at the finished model. Anyways I never thought of using thin wires for the spark plug wires because that wouldve made it look better and be easier then the way I did it. I used to take my moms sewing string and use that. It was a pain to use string, what I did was use a flat clear coat spray paint to get try to stiffen the string up so it was easier to work with but it was so hard to work with the string. Using the wire is alot easier compared to string , and the finished product looks better as well

She's a beauty, wiring the engine really makes it look so realistic under the hood. Your idea for highlighting the door lines and trunk lines is an amazing idea, your right it really makes the model pop. Your channel and Chris at Hipguys are my favorite modeling channels. Nice build. I really don't like to be critical but I assume you do this as a tutorial and want to be as accurate as possible. The radiator support and firewall on Mopars are supposed to be body color and not black unless the car is black. Minor, I know but it could cost points if it were entered in a contest. Best wishes and keep building.

I have this kit in my stash. Your build is going to inspire me. I can imagine your mom when you lost the the tip of the finger on the bike chain. When I was a kid I spilled a cup ful of hot milk and coffee on my... well, you know what I mean. My mom got very desperate. After some oitment the pain subsided. Obviously nothing to compare with your accident.

Very nice build! You can also scribe the panel lines deeper to help realism. I usually do the panel line wash before clear to seal and protect the shadow. Your right, the Tamiya stuff can be tricky to get off without ruining the paint. I use a dab of mineral spirits on a Qtip to remove it.

Hey Matthew very nice build. I'm jealous. I thought that I had sent you a note before regarding the kicker (accelerant). The spray function is I'll suited for most modeling. I find that it's best just to keep a testors paint bottle full of the kicker and apply it with a micro brush precisely where it's needed. No fuss, no muss.
