I'm also 14, very near 15, and one of my favourite singers Jim Morrison had one of these, and once I've learned to drive fully (I can already drive a tractor) I want to get one of these, like Jim's.
Back in ‘78 when I was 18 my neighbor around the block had 2 original Shelby mustangs in his garage! Fast forward to today and his son , who I see occasionally, still owns them! Unreal!
my neighbor had the same car! it was white. He sold it for only $10K in 1984 for a down payment on a house. The person he sold it to resold it a year later for $50K to a man who owned it for 4 years and sold it for over 100K
It really makes you think if someone just bought a dozen of these cars when they were made, kept them garaged until now with no miles, what would they be worth in perfect condition???? Priceless???

John Mcclane The GT350’s were small block cars, the GT500’s are big blocks. GT350’s are more ‘balanced’, I guess you could say, but GT500’s pack WAAAY more wallop in straight line speed. As for one of these over a ‘70 Boss 302, it’s a tough choice. It’d be a win-win no matter which way you look at it, but my completely biased vote goes to the Shelby.
When it's a "show car" it looks just like every other car there, but when it's kept original, it has character. I remember seeing a real GT500 and not a single panel was the same colour, original rims, some rust and some of the car was painted. I'll never ever forget it.
The last year of the 60's that Mr. Shelby's co. built them. One of the greatest looking to,as far as I'm concerned. I see this is from 6 years ago. I wonder how much it sold for, & how much it'd be worth now.❤ Fast Fords Forever!❤👍🏁

Yeah bro. This rating system is for people that park their car and say..i own this perfect car. I say, you have an awesome car you are using for a coffee table. This car is a beautiful thing. I personally like the 66 model best non-shelby...all the scoops and such look out of place on these cars.
Should learn to rev match when shifting, the revs drops too low before shifting up and that makes for a jerky ride and wear on clutch, also when downshifting.
It's a long shot. Most people will never get this car. Unless you find a unrestored one. Or you have a deposable $100k to start with to buy one. A big portion of a 401k & a portion of equity of your house not worth it.
