Thanks for presenting this video. I have a basket case 1971 Convertible that I am trying to restore. Its too soon to think about the top now but that day will come. I will be waiting for the 2nd part of the video to complete the training, then buy the soft top and install it myself. Again thanks a lot for the info!!
Well boyz I hope you answer me. Pam here, never done a covertable top before . My tabs are shit mostly broken or rusted off . Also the pad covers are really ruff so I'll be making new ones with new pads. The top they sent is all sealed the way you said no stitching .Back window bow rubber looks a lot differant from what was originally on it so I'm expecting trouble ahead on that. This a 68 I'm working on . Don't have car here just old top and new one to install. And my spring is gone completely. What did I step in? Haha Hey mine has black glue /tar maybe under all weather striping on sides. I'll have clean all that off I suppose? Do I need to re-glue? And what kind? I have Hi -temp spray? Mine doesn't have back window straps ether? Should I make some out of what ?Canvas or vinyl diamentions if you have them. Should I send these folks down the road they can't find anyone to do this job.
