Allis chalmers never made snowmobile, there were a couple prototypes but they never went into production

EZ570 Allis Chalmers owned simplicity, and a rear rider was the bottom of the line product, you replaced it with a 318 which a top of the line john Deere, only the 400 had more features. If you want to compare apples to apples than compare the 318 to the Allis Chalmers 720, which was twice the machine a 318-400 was

RJ 1999 They owned it from 1965 to 1985. Simplicity was formed in 1922. Many of Simplicity's designs became reality with a major market name and sales marketing. Deere and IH made most of their own machines. Jacobson made products for Ford and MM, Simplicity for AC and New Holland.

thegreenerthemeaner Simplicity didnt make products for new Holland, and technically didn't make products for Allis Chalmers either, seeing that Allis Chalmers owned them completely, unless your referring to the few years Allis bought products from them before swallowing them

RJ 1999 They did emerge when Allis sold in 1985 according to this website for Simplicity History. www.fundinguniverse.com/company-histories/simplicity-manufacturing-inc-history/. For the short time New Holland made Lawn/Garden tractors in the mid 70s, I thought Simplicity did but perhaps not. NH had the first drive over mower deck and they were not part of Ford just yet. When they did merge, I hoped they would adopt the NH LGTs, not what they continued to get from Jacobsen.

thegreenerthemeaner Simplicity was one of the first assets Allis Chalmers sold off, when the crunch of the 80's hit, Simplicity continued to make consumer products for Allis Chalmers and then Deutz Allis, and even Agco. New Hollands Lawn tractor was designed and built by New Holland, but with a lack of dealers in urban areas it wasn't successful, so they sold it to Ariens which improved and continued building the New Holland tractor. Ford was buying lgt from gilson, and they weren't much, the later ones were built by Toro which was partially owned at the time by New Holland /Fiat, and that was an excellent tractor
