Brief ride along with my buddy Josh in his '68 Nova! More of this car will be shown on this channel in the upcoming warmer months so stay tuned and subscribe if you liked the video!
That's a beautiful and rare '68 Nova. I love it. All I can say is that if I owned it I would NEVER, EVER, park it in a parking garage at the mall. No matter how far you park it away from the mall door you'll come back an hour later and there would be cars wedged in a hand's width away on both sides and a couple of nice new dents in the sides from where careless people threw their doors open right into it. Been there. Done that.
@Pop's Garage Mayhem Sometimes I park diagonally across two spaces in an attempt to keep other cars away even though I'm parked at the farrrrrr end of the parking lot. That does help.
@@henrycoldrain8151 Spoken by somebody who never came back to their classic car and found a dent and chipped paint courtesy of some asshole in a mini van.
The ride along brought many memories. Absolutely love everything about this build. The only very minor change I'd make is Hurst t-handle on the shifter. Absolutely a knock out car. Thanks!
Wow what a car. I have a 68 that I bought from my cousin, it only had a 307 engine in it with a three speed on the floor, but it was still a blast to drive!
There's a time and place for that stuff , in broad daylight , in town isn't it , especially while driving a car that can no longer blend in with fifty others just like it .
Sounds awesome. I mounted my tack on the dash under the cushion. Love them Novas. Working on a new homestead then my next project car. I want another Nova. It’s just a fun car to work on and easy to build. Nice Car
I'm an old School Car guy. My daughter heard me laughing so loud she came to check on me. She says what's up dad? I said you got to love it It gets no better than a really big engine in a light car. 1st thing she asked me was what kind of car got a big block. I love that little girl. Lol good job guys keep it up
I’m a blue oval guy . Have to give props where props are due , doesn’t matter what badge they wear. Killer ride brings back memories . Friend had a red one with a pretty juiced up small block. Fun times !
@Victor Higgs Excuse me, you don't have to be a jerk. I thought the Chevy II and Nova were the same name. I could be wrong, but don't act like such a fool.
@@jamesyoast5425 yeah, I will. Mistakes happen sometimes. However, it's not my fault, the poster above stated that this was a Chevy II in the first place. Though, I do know the lineup started as a 3rd gen Nova in '68. I kind of overlooked the info. However, in my opinion a Chevy II _is_ a Nova; I'm just sticking to that name just so I can't confuse others with the Chevy II name. It's a Nova and that's it. Is that fair enough?
@@jamesyoast5425 well, it looks like we were wrong. The poster was right this whole time. After I did some research, the Chevy II Name was originally made from 1962-1968. The 1968 Nova has a Chevy II name badge on the front hood of the vehicle (proof is at 0:24). Just to clarify, some 1968 Chevy Novas have the Chevy II Badge while other '68 models do not. In 1969 the name badge of the Chevy II was dropped and it was replaced with a Nova name badge, changing the entire model name from a Chevy II to a Chevy Nova. Think twice before telling someone to do their research, smartass.
thats a cool ass nova i guess the diff between old school n new school when u ride in a old school muscle car u feel like a bad ass lol the smell n raw sound just a great feeling 👍🏻🇺🇸
Feels like back in the day watching 6 or 7 seasons of Smallville, waiting to watch Superman fly, and he never really does. Kept it all under the hood without showing us what he could do.
Two cars in my life would be complete My Bentley bentayaga , and a nova with a 572 big block My two absolute favorite cars . Have the hot rod for weekends and have the Bentley bentayaga as a daily driver !!! Awesome nova bro!!!
we do take rack and pinion steering for granted :) No, seriously, you can buy steering boxes with better ratios--my '68 4-4-2 is 2.7 turns lock to lock. But its classic power steering--numb. And power discs that launch you thru the window the first time you leave the driveway, until you remember how to touch the pedal.
Key in the dashboard...yep, its a 1968. Next year everyone went to key in the steering column. And gone were the days of your passenger stealing the key out of the ignition leaving the car running until you asked for the key back to stop the engine.
What I learned the hard way about Speeding Ticket's? When I swapped out my stock 14" tires for 15's,I got a speeding ticket every week until I figured it out ,$300.00 worth of ticket's later!
