Born and raised in Southern California, 65,000 actual miles. Starting with a clean sweetheart of a car, it was recently, professionally restored with upgrades.
EXTERIOR: No rust, original metal. We have pictures of it stripped to bare metal. Painted a gorgeous Aston Martin Casino Royal Gray. The paint is polished like glass! The jambs are slick. Weatherstrips were replaced. At first glance you would think the chrome is new, it's actually all original in excellent condition. Updated electronics for the sequential taillights. Rebuilt headlight door system. Polished 17 inch Shelby wheels with spinners on performance tires.
INTERIOR: It smells like a leather shop inside. Glove soft, genuine leather upholstery on the seats and doors. The seats have new cushions. Shelby style wood rim steering wheel. It has a retro stereo in the factory hole, kick panel JBL speakers and 6x9s in back. In between the bucket seats is a deluxe console with the "garage door" compartment. Bright LED interior lights. New carpets, headliner, and visors. The instrument panel is excellent.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The 302 runs smooth. Upgraded aluminum intake and an Edelbrock 4 barrel carb, new MSD electronic ignition system and a set of coated Doug's headers. Features include power steering and brakes. It also has factory air conditioning that blows ice cold. It is very proper and complete. Original washer fluid bottle, battery is bolted down, it has a fan shroud. It has a few nice enhancements too: Cobra finned valve covers and a Cougar underhood filler panel.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and jamb are glossy. The trunk compartment is rock solid original metal. It has a BFG tire on a painted rim for a spare. It has correct plaid mat and a custom Cougar mat. LED trunk light.
UNDERSIDE: It has upgraded Control Freak suspension. In front there's new coil over gas shocks, control arms, balljoints and bushings. In back it has adjustable upper and lower tubular control arms and coilover adjustable gas shocks. The steering was rebuilt. Custom mandrel bent, tig welded stainless exhaust with X-pipe and Borla mufflers. All new brake system and it's upgraded to disc at all 4 wheels. New e-brake assembly. The fuel tank and sending unit were replaced. Looking up at the motor it has a Miloden oil pan, starter and fuel pump look fresh. The C-4 automatic was serviced. The floors are rust free original metal. Where the original undercoat has flaked off the factory primer is showing.
After our inspection the only thing we needed to do was replace reverse light switch! This car is dialed in. Turn key ready to enjoy.
