My first car in 1973 was a 1969 firebird my Dad paid $2400. Had a 350 auto a nice car actually I liked the 68 better but the bumpers on the 69 were solid don't ask how I know. Traded it for a 69 GTO $600. & the firebird ,those were the days.
00:7:00 I have never heard of too much oil pressure!! My problem has always been the opposite!!! It is a damn nice bird though!! I would love to take it off your hands!!
YES You are correct low oil pressure is way worse. With to much oil pressure on a engine that the oil pump is driven from the distributor which is driven from the cam will cause cam and distributor gear wear, I do use a bronce distributor gear which helps save the camshaft.
still for sale. working on replacing clutch kit, Price goes up the closer it gets to being completed. Wkll make another detailed video in the next few days. I am leaving the TKO 600 init.
Just got it on the road end of june. still need interior stuff put in. I really like driving this car but would most likely sell it for $30k. Im going to try to get another video on it soon. Thanks
@@gearheadSMOKENJOE Well…it’s a beauty. You are doing a great job of keeping it up. My oldest brother hated the car I drove back in high school,so he bought me a better car. I said great…buy me a 69 Firebird convertible. We looked everywhere, never found one. That was 1976 in Houston. I guess they all lived in nicer places.
