Vintique Motors is thrilled to present this 1969 Norton Commando Fastback 750!
Nortons's fabled Commando model was first released in 1967 and continued its successful run with a 745cc parallel twin engine until 1973 when it increased displacement to 828cc through the end of production in 1977. Several sub-models were offered over the production run including the R, S, Fastback, Roadster, Interstate, and Hi-Rider with each offering differing styling and intended usage.
This 1969 Commando Fastback is finished in Dark Red with Silver side covers, a black seat, and a chrome front fender. The body work consisting of the gas tank and the rear fender are made of fiberglass. It is powered by its numbers matching 745cc parallel twin rated at 58hp with twin Amal carburetors. It also features a 4-speed manual transmission, kick-start ignition, two-up seating, Smiths and Lucas gauges, dual exhaust, and 19" wire-spoked wheels. It was restored in the past and today presents in very nice condition with an odometer currently reading 3,110 miles which is believed to be mileage since it was restored. The Dunlap Gold Seal tires are in great shape with 2019 date codes.
We acquired it in September 2022 from the previous owner from West Bloomfield, MI who owned it since May of 1997. We proceeded to have our trusted vendor Nostalgic Motoring in Auburn Hills, MI perform a $344 service in which that receipt can be view in the gallery. It is offered in running and driving condition and ready to join your collection.
