Hi Granny Pat. You looked pretty today. I like your top. That was a nice poem you read to us. Yes, I think we should give Abe Lincoln more praise and credit in his short life. He served us well. Your subscriber number is getting close to 30 thousand. Congrats. You are doing an amazing job dear sweet friend. Nancy from IN.
I LOVED that poem Granny Pat! SO true about our special President Abe Lincoln. We pay so much attention to humans that are physically attractive. Isn’t it especially interesting that fate surprised us all when a seemingly simple person often described as homely turned out to be such a gift to us ALL. He could craft language superior to the ‘well educated’ men of his age. If only we had a person such as him to direct us away from the dangers we face today.
Edgar A. Guest is one of my favorite poets, and he has been since I was a young adult, and I’m 60 now. I have a nice hard cover book of his that has over 100 poems that I refuse to give up. It’s wonderful to see someone else who likes him! Abraham Lincoln was my mother’s favorite president.
Hi Granny Pat. Love your top. I love how down to earth you are. You take me into your living room with you every time I listen to you talk. Keep sharing anything and everything you feel like talking about. I really enjoy your videos.
Ms. Pat, I have to tell you, my 12-year-old daughter and I (and even my husband), have been enjoying watching your videos for the last week since youtube suggested your channel to me. I watched you all week while I cooked 10 Thanksgiving dishes for my little family. You kept me company and made the time go by a lot faster. We so enjoy your stories, you make us laugh and smile...and I tear up from many of them. Sometimes I'm not sure why, but your videos really remind me of what is important in life, to slow down and not always be in such a rush. I get stressed out too easily over things that just don't matter in the grand scheme of things. You remind me so much of my grandmother when she was more active and you even speak very similar, your cadence and your accent. It's comforting. I hope you know that your little corner of the internet is really bringing joy to others. I look forward to more videos. Be blessed, and thank you for being you.
Beautifully said. I feel the same about Dear Granny Pat. I think it’s Divine Intervention that put her in our paths (aka, suggestions in our YT feeds). ❤❤
Do you listen to any music? Sometimes I play some classic rock n roll. It helped me to get my kitchen cleaned up after the Thanksgiving dinner. 😂 Singing to my dishes way off key🎶I WILL, I WILL WASH YOU!!!🎶
Granny Pat!! Thank you so much for your videos, they make my day so much better. I, however, LOVE rainy days just as much as sunny days. Makes me want to light a candle, make soup, and snuggle up to watch a movie! Being cozy just isn’t the same on a sunny day!
I sincerely and deeply appreciate any Abraham Lincoln stories. He is my favorite president; I admire that great man so much. He lived such a difficult life and bcus of it, I know he had to have experienced depression - yet he still accomplished revolutionary things. We also share the same birthday, February 12th. 🙏❤ Thank you for touching on this subject and for reading us this poem.
I am so happy I found your youtube. It makes my day every time I see a new video uploaded. You are such a gem and I love watching your videos and hearing your stories. I have been laughing and crying and everything in between. I feel like you are the long lost friend I always wished I knew! I know you had mentioned in your last video you didn't want gifts or cards but I would love to send you a Christmas card if you had a PO box for mail. Thanks for sharing your wisdom and humor and tidbits of your life with us. You are bringing comfort and joy to us all. 💜

Greetings: My 1st time writing a note...I just discovered your videos last week and got hooked....you are an absolute treasure....such a gifted ministry .....I never liked poetry until listening to you read Wish I'd of heard about you earlier.....lots to catch up on. I'm from the most northern part of upper Michigan..Calumet to be exact (36 miles from the tip) ...most folks think we talk like canadians😂 So many of us folks are lonely ( I saw that yrs ago in my career, esp the time I worked in home health as an RN)...you fill a great void God bless you..🙏..I just love your accent and mannerisms.... Judy🌞
I love your stories, reminds me of when I was a kid and we all sat quietly listening to our parents and aunts and uncles tell their stories of when they were growing up.
Great poem! I loved Abraham Lincoln. I did visit the replica of Lincoln's childhood home in Lincoln, Indiana. He lived there from the age of 7 to 21. I forgot to tell you how nice you looked yesterday, and you also look great today. I like your earrings and your blouse. The glasses you had on today did sparkle a little, as a reflection I think from the Christmas decorations you have in your living room. I look forward to hearing more of those poems. Have a good evening!
Pat this was wonderful. I'm proud to say my family loves President Lincoln also. My sister even has a large framed photo of him in her dining room above her mantle. Loved the poetry keep it coming!
Grandad introduced me to Edgar A. Guest’s poetry thru newspaper clippings in his scrapbooks! He loved poetry and was tickled when I, his first grandchild , started writing poems in high school:)
Praying for glorious rays of sunshine to shine down on you tomorrow through your big picture-window ☀️= Just like YOU shine on all of us through our black screen electronic devices each day (& night)! You are The BEST, Granny Pat! 🙏🏻💗📗
Thanks for the poem about Abe Lincoln, brought a smile to my face several times❣️ The recipe that sounds good enough to eat! I’m going to buy the ingredients the next time I’m going grocery shopping to make that. ❤
Thank you Pat for bringing attention to Abraham Lincoln for us. I've always loved him. Interesting poem you read about him. I love poems. You look very pretty tonight and I hope you have a good rest of your night. God bless you and your family 🙏✝️✝️🙏
Good night! Thank you for a great story, I love Abraham lincoln. I agree that he was probably such an under-appreciated president and man. Thank you, good night and I look forward to your story!!!!
Thanks Pat! You’d be surprised how much the younger folk look up to their elders and listen to your videos. They may not admit it but they’re watching!❤️🇨🇦🙏🎄
Hello Granny Pat I enjoyed the poem about Abe Lincoln. I really enjoyed it. You were correct about school and History they really did not teach that you had to read about history. 😊❤
It’s cold and rainy here and I have the worst headache I’ve ever had. I’m so tired and have to go to work early in the morning. I like your videos Pat.
I loved History class in school we had an A+ history teacher, Mr.Felix knew what he was teaching! Great idea with the crescent rolls.I bet with the cheese inside a little cooked crumbled bacon would take it over the top!. I put sharp cheese and crumbled bacon in my green bean casserole this year with the french fried onions so good!! God Bless for sending us your beautiful messages of life🤗
Interesting! Yes the leftovers are wonderful. My dressing was the best I've ever made according to my family. I beat my gramas dressing my mother said ! The Pecan pie was good, it's long gone. My son loves the turkey sandwiches, so do I. 😊 Abe Lincoln was a good man. Sad about his assassination. My ancestors world was rocked by the civil war. Gone were the plantation days of the old South. Gone with the wind.
Granny Pat, I love Edgar Guest also❤ I'm 70 and I have a couple of his books from my grandmother. I would love to have the large book of poems so I will be on the lookout 😊 Thanks for reminding me of his works.
Abe Lincoln’s life was filled with obstacles,,, lots of failures,,, but he persisted. What an inspiration he is to us to persevere. Thanks for sharing the lovely poem. And honoring his legacy!
I thought of my Daddy when you said you're trying to 'see' while reading your book. My Dad used to say that eating carrots help improve your eye sight, and your Daddy said eating carrot make your eyes blue. It seems that both were wrong. 😊 Love you so! Thanks for the company. 🤗
Hi My family The Turnhams in Spencer County Indiana were Abe’s neighbors. He borrowed my many great grandfather’s law books. My grandfather was the Magistrate of the county. Abe’s father made a beautiful cherrywood cabinet for my family now in a museum. We also have the thick stoneware cups they drank from together. We have a copy of a letter Abe wrote to Mary. He wrote letters to my family after he became President reminiscing of his friendship with them. Kare Chapman Glendale AZ USA

I wonder what he would think about America if he could be here today?!?😢 I am sure he would be 😔 sad! Thank you for your stories. After all..... Stories are gifts...share them😊!!! God Bless You!!!!!❤
I just found you! I’ve been enjoying all your stories, readings, cooking, & esp of you on Thanksgiving ❤ such fun! You remind me of my wonderful Aunt Nora! Such fun visits! Story telling is where I come from! Family visits!
Abe. An incredible gentleman. We were fortunate to be recipients of his knowledge. Glad you got your sweet potato casserole for Thanksgiving. Is that your lovely new doily on your chair behind you? Cheesy crescent dinner rolls. Sound really good. Good idea. Good to get creative. 'Night, Miss Pat. I've listened to your stories until 4:10 am. I think it's time to go to bed. 🥰
My most favorite historical President of all time. I have many books about him, a picture of him in my art studio, visited his memorial grave site, and revered his life. Thank you so much Sweet GP for reminding us of his achievements in political history. He was brilliant. ❤🐝from Colorado.
