FOR SALE $79,995. This beautiful restored 1970 Chevelle SS454 LS6 is featured in code 25 Astro blue and black stripes with bench seat interior, cowl induction, tach and gauges, manual transmission, and 12 bolt rear axle. After inspecting this car I found enough original physical evidence to allow this car into the National LS6 Registry with my endorsement but with an asterisk due to the car no longer retains its original drivetrain or documentation. Interested buyers can reach me at 931-241-9908 to schedule an appointment to view the car in person.

80k is way to much for a non numbers matching Chevelle. Everything has been changed, even the interior, glass, engine, rear differential, rear stick on emblems and list goes on. I appreciate Patric and how honest this man is. This is a resto mod car honestly.

@@rogjackson I agree, if the original engine, transmission, and rear are gone it is in fact not a original car, doesn't mean its not a nice driver but people seem to be trying to bend the rules much as possible in hopes of getting alot more money out of their cars then they are really worth. I ENJOY ALL OF YOUR VIDEOS ON CARS BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN A CAR/HOT ROD LOVER SINCE I WAS BIG ENOUGH TO KNOW WHAT A CAR WAS. THIS IS A NICE CAR AND TOO MANY PEOPLE ARE CRITICAL ABOUT NUMBERS MATCHING ECT. IT IS WHAT IT IS AND WOULD MAKE A GOOD DRIVER AND IS WORTH WHAT SOMEONE IS WILLING TO PAY FOR IT. I PERSONALLY DO NOT LIKE WHITE INTERIOR AND FEEL LIKE THE CAR WOULD LOOK MUCH BETTER WITH BLACK INTERIOR, BUT THAT DID NOT STOP ME FROM ENJOYING THE VIDEO. KEEP IT UP PATRICK, YOU BRING ENJOYMENT TO A LOT OF US OLD HOT RODDERS.

I'm sorry, but this has been debated in the Chevelle/Muscle car world for decades!!!! My opinion is that if the born with motor, transmission and rear are gone, especially with and LS-6, then it is no longer an LS-6. This car is absolutely drop dead gorgeous and highly sought after in this industry, however, it must be advertised as it is, which Patrick Glenn Nichols Musclecar Barn Finds, I feel did eloquently. Not bashing the car of the video, I think that they have done a great job!!! Beautiful car!!!!!

Like many others, the 1970 is my favorite of all Chevelles. Astro blue/black stripes is my 2nd favorite combination (tuxedo black/no stripe is #1 for me). However, IF I was in the market for one, that white interior would be a deal breaker for me. On the other hand, my wife found and bought the tuxedo black 1970 Malibu that I built, "street raced" then sold years ago, so I'm not in the market. Our 70 is in my shop and we're restoring/upgrading it back to fighting shape right now. Even though it's "just" a Malibu, it has sentimental value to us. I don't care if this car goes into the registry or not, it's a beautiful car, even with that white interior.

After reading all of the comments indicating that the car is overpriced by 30K-40K I have to respectively disagree. If everything about this car was correct and it had its original documentation it would probably fetch 150K-175K, so the owner is basically giving a 50% discount because his(or her) car lack of these details. I would say that the asking price is in the ballpark, and just because he is asking 80K doesn't mean that he wouldn't take less. JMO.

I have a Malibu that I converted to an SS clone. It all depends on what you want out of the car. If you're like me and you just want a car that goes, handles, and drives down the road nice, then a clone is good. I can cut holes in things for stereo equipment, upgrade the suspension and not worry about affecting value. I put a completely different engine in it. I painted it a completely non-period correct candy blue. Now if your one of those guys who parks it in shows and pulls out a chair and needs to brag on it for 8 hours to everyone walking by and needs to show all the paperwork to everyone then this might be the car for you :)

The original parts were lost, so they found the closest parts they could to make it as original as possible, but it isn't restored to factory condition. I would take any model 1970 Chevelle SS, but whether the LS6 car is a 1000-point show car winner or one like this version I'd still drive it and enjoy it as Chevrolet originally intended. The only time the car would sit in a building is when it was not being driven. I wouldn't hang on to it for too long though; I'm sure there is at least one other person who would want to properly drive and enjoy the car as well.

Really needs to have all matching tinted glass. Black interior kit too then it would really have the look.

Looks like it was a factory a/c car that they did a delete on. This thing needs a LOT of asterisks beside it.

I have a 70 Malibu, but I also have a 70 396/402, 70 bucket seats, a 70 SS dash, and a 70 hood. Trying to decide on doing a "recreation". Would be painted 70 Forest Green Metallic to go with the green interior.

Nice car, did all LS6's and LS5 454 cars with 4sp come with the M22 ?

Yes. The m21 can't handle that much torque/hp.

Love the careful placement of ths SS 454 emblems on the front fenders . What did the do to install them ? Put glue on the back of each S and throw them at the fenders ?

Very nicely done with the changes .. maybe a bit pricey for not being an original drive train car. But a very very nice driver.. Thanks for another great video Patrick, great to see you out an about again
