Looking forward to your next update. These things take time; "life gets in the way", "$$$", etc. We restore the classics for our own reasons and we move forward in such endeavors at our own pace. I have restored five classic GM 1968 - 1972 convertibles. There comes a time when a "tactical retreat" from the projects is necessary. Rome was not built in a day, classics are not restored in a day. Take "your" time, do it right the first time; it is the right thing to do and you will never regret doing the right thing.
Great video..I just recently LS swapped my 1970 old's 442-w-30 conv with a turbo 400 back in DEC 2021..It was a bitch to get everything to mount up to the trany. But my shop did an outstanding professional job..This is a show car..Not just some clunker..It is actually on the front cover of OPGI parts catalog for the 2022 year..Great honor..But my LS engine was built brand new by GOLEN ENGINE'S out of Hudson N.H...582-HP...So now it is back in the shop this week for the 4L60e transmission install..But just wanted to let you guy's know i went through the same difficulty's...
I'm in the process of installing an LS3 into a 71 Olds Cutlass Supreme convertible. I was wondering what motor mounts and bracket on the frame you used. I have and LS sliding motor mount but I'm having a heck of a time getting it to go down on the stock clamshell motor mount brackets on the frame. From your video, yours looks to position the engine forward on the frame.
Do you have a parts list for everything it took to get the motor in. I have a 06 ls &4l60e that I’m trying to get everything rounded up to put it in my 70 cutlass
Tell you the truth, I have one in the garage, but haven’t overhauled it yet. The TH350 was complete gone through a couple years ago and upgraded. Only reason I am using it. BUT, I did the Holley terminator max so that way I can use it with the 4l60e in the future without having to upgrade :)
