I believe the exhaust manifolds bolt onto the heads with no gasket. Thing is when done correctly, they never leak. Old manifolds need the face skimmed but you can check if it needs to be done on a level concrete floor by just putting a strip of Emery anchored at either end and rubbing the manifold face across it. This is how a shop would do it - except there's is a stip of paper driven by a motor. If there's unskimmed regions best to send them off, otherwise I have found the thinnest application of any automotive silicone - certainly not enough to bludge outside, and you're good to go. I like 3 Bond grey or red. Peramatex have one. Another bonus, the bolts and nuts don't come loose nearly as much. Also 273 adjustable rocker arms are a great thing and bolt straight on. They arern't rare either and are a nice improvement even for hydraulic cams. Just a thought. I think you'll agree, now you've done it, that the Mopar wiring harnesses are the definition of simplicity. I can just look at them now and know what goes where. I am so familiar with them that If I ever built a kit car I'd buy a new Mopar harness lol. They are a great thing, can be easily modified too. (I'm commenting as I watch the vid) The carb. There is a place somewhere, than for a very reasonable price, makes Edelbrock Thunder carbs look like an AVS. I think I saw the service on eBay or something. It's such an authentic looking build i think this car warrants it. Can't wait to watch pt 2.

These cars were notorious in their day for poor build quality keeping Chrysler #3 in the "Big Three" line up. Perhaps they wouldn't be so badly deteriorated otherwise. Now with all the re-pop sheetmetal and other parts these cars are being restored to better than new condition to be cherished for years to come.
