Nice! I like how they bobbed the spring towers and changed to a Mustang II front suspension. Also, the bigs and littles are perfect! But it is more of a boulevard cruiser versus a real track car. I didn't see a NHRA mandated exterior battery cut off on the back panel of the car.
Cool little fastbacks! The Maverick and the Comet were the same car. They came with large cubic inch inline sixes and eventually a 302/5 liter V8 from the factory. They are a great little muscle car. Made from 1970 through 1977. Maverick Grabber was the hi performance Maverick and Comet GT was the Mercury.
My '70 Maverick was a "Candy Apple Red" with black & white plaid interior, 256 CID inline 6, automatic 3 speed, 4-stud wheels, AM radio, and NO a/c... just a plain Jane vehicle but oh so fun to cruise around in during the Michigan, & Oklahoma summers..
mine is a 70 bench seat 302 345 hp its a blast to drive, set up for the 1/8th 4/11 positrack dont know what 4 speed standard trans is in it but great car.
yo naci con un ford Maverick una joya Americana hecho en Mexico mi padre tuvo un 2 puertas del año 1970 le pido a Dios volverlo a tener ya que cuento con las recursos pero dios me ayudara
A Kenne Bell supercharged 351 (5.8) from a 13/14 GT500 would be the perfect swap. It looks so wicked but the current cars are fast. This should be able to go out and take on the stop light challenges that definitely would be encountered.
