All American cars dropped compression in 1972. 429 was introduced in 1968 in 68 You Could still get the 428 or 429 In A T Bird is called a Thunderjet.. & the hi options cars have CRUISE CONTROL.. they all had power windows.. most had AM-FM Stero in 1970

69-71 T-Birds only had a 429 from the factory. It wasn't until the 72 redesign that the 460 became an option.

Nice score! You should be able to make a pretty good profit on a lot of the good body parts, trim, and interior stuff on that car that you don't use. Interesting find. Those back seats that wrap around the corners and the primitive automatic climate control are cool!

Great find! Just a shame it's damaged like that but at least it's donating some of its parts to keep the galaxie going but what are you going to do with that interior personally I'd strip it out and sell it or just find a new front clip and crossmember and build a resto mod t-bird

Good deal, rip out the engine and interchangeable parts I bet you could still get your money back on it.
