That Challenger is in good hands now, Jesse is a really good friend of mine and he will have that Challenger over restored in no time haha. It does honestly make me sick how a man would amass such a collection and do nothing with them other blow them completely apart and just let it all sit like that
@@ScottsSpeedShop I agree! I've seen it time and time again. Don't pull your cars apart until you are ready to restore them. You're not saving somebody some time or money, you're giving them a nightmare.
i recued a 440 67 charger 2 years ago that was completely blown apart down to even the radio was dissasembled!,been sitting in same shed since 1970,and has been an absolute nightmare to put back together as nothing was labled, its 98% restored as of now
The guy who hosts a Hagerty show with the sweet woody van has great advice, don't buy another car or project until you're done restoring the first one! Makes sense to me after seeing poor cars blown apart in bits scattered to the 4 points of the compass then left to rot and never to get put back together properly again, just like Humpty Dumpty! Hopefully they'll find all the right parts. Smh. Good luck to them!
Here in Australia, I know of a guy who has a extremely rare Australian Chrysler by Chrysler CH Hardtop with factory 360 & rare P/S & D /S remote mirrors, rare landau factory vinyl roof. He stacked in 1983 & parked it up in his barn. He has collect all NOS parts for it but wants to do it up like the General Lee. I have been trying for 25 years to acquire it but to no avail. Those who are in Australia and love Mopar's they know how extremely rare 360 Chrysler By Chrysler CH Hardtop are. Worth Goggle it. Great Video Your number 1 Fan in Australia Louis Kats from Melbourne Australia ☺ 👍 ❤
@@AutoArchaeology I am trying, rescued plenty of Mopar's since 1990 but this one not without trying. The last Chrysler By Chrysler CH Hardtop with a 360 V8 I got, it took me 15 years of hounding the original owner who happened to be a doctor. I would go in for a check up & end up chatting about the CH twice a year. Flipped it bought it at the wrong time. Now I have 1st bids on the following cars. 1970 Challenger R/T 440 4 speed numbers matching. 1968 Pontiac Bonneville 2 Door Hardtop with a 428 HP numbers matching motor in it. 1970 AMC Rebel Machine numbers matching. No one selling at the moment. Keep you posted Cheers Louis 👍
There's a guy in Michigan has a barn full of mopars.71 hemi cuda, 70 pink road runner convertible 440 auto w/200mi,69 sport fury, 65 sport fury, and others. There's 2 guys in Detroit that have an old factory full of old mopars alot of imperials, 300s, and trucks.
Local Mopar guy bought his dream car after hitting a nice lottery. Had some funny stories about going to redeem it. Several people had made claims they had the number, but had some crazy excuse for not having it with them- hoping they would just hand over a check, They were glad to see him show up.
Great work on all these videos! I’m trying to find more info on an EB5 EW1 V02 ‘70 challenger? I found that 2% of JH23 8 cylinder challengers were two tone but no actual numbers. Any info is appreciated.
You can see the engine stamp pad on the bottom of block just above oil pan look's like someone took paint off 5:50. So block is a 1968 or newer yr even if it's cast 1966. Would like to see if it has #'s on pad if u go back anytime. (EV2 is Hemi orange) the (R4 Tor-red is as stated like a (To)mato orange (red) color) can't mistake the differance by seeing them
I came across a couple. Big ones were a Hemi 68 Charger(should be restored by now) and a Ford Thunderbolt. The Thunderbolt is still out there(as of 2015)in southern Ontario. I promised the guy I wouldn’t say where. Passed on his ‘68 4 speed Torino Drag Pack car that needed restored.
I bought my 63 Max Wedge Savoy down in Agusta Ga. I had a 71 440 Six pack 4 speed dana shaker car years ago. The 440 six pack was already gone. But the rest was all there. I sold it for $2000 at carlisle . Big Mistake ! I had a LIL RED EXPRESS to that I sold for $1300.
Same Guy That Had the Quad Black 70' HEMI CUDA... MOPAR Hoarder... Not That There's Really Anything Wrong With That... But, To Amass Such A Collection and Win A Lottery and Yet Not Complete A Vehicle is A Tale of "$#!t Happens"... Now for All Involved, Hopefully The Ol' Man has Hit The Lotto Again.. We Know That The Buyer's/ Videographer's Know They Have...
One thing that you do which bothers me is showing the VIN tag on the dash. A friend of mine had someone video a car he had and some unscrupulous person used the posted video to request a duplicate title at a different address and stole the car and immediately sold it. It was recovered and the crook was caught but why make it easier for an unscrupulous thief to steal someone’s car?
@@AutoArchaeology Actually it CAN still happen. Arnies AAR Cuda was current on its registration and driven a bit each summer and this happened to him just over a year ago. Luckily for him, of all places for the car to end up was 2 states away, but in the same suburb his brother in-law lived in and he recognized the car because of a small dent that Arnie had touched up with a mismatched rattle can to prevent it from starting to rust.
