It must have been a bear to wrestle those over-powered monsters around a road coarse like that. The Superbirds were designed for the big ovals at Daytona, not the small stuff.
I'm no expert of course, but I say they're the same overall because it's taking the same design and changing the name and some "minor" body modifications and features. They both seem the same size to me...

how is this the same car as a daytona?... a daytona is a dodge charger with nose cone and wing! and this super bird is a road runner with dodge coronet front fenders and of course nose and wing also! they were all "b-body" but but the road runner was a mid size car and the charger was not!
