This 1971 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona is a US-market example and is one of 1,284 Berlinetta coupes produced in total between 1968 and 1973. The car, chassis 14239, was completed on April 15, 1971, and was ordered through Luigi Chinetti Motors of Greenwich, Connecticut, by a Detroit, Michigan-based owner who received the car at the Ferrari factory in Maranello, Italy, in August 1971.
It subsequently spent time in California and Pennsylvania before it was acquired by the selling dealer in January 2020. The car is finished in black over matching leather upholstery, and power comes from a 4.4-liter quad-cam V12 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes Borrani wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, pop-up headlights, air conditioning, power windows, a gated shifter, and a Kenwood cassette player.
