My uncle had a black one for some years he was head machineic at the bus workshop in Liverpool he took pride in looking after his car and one year it did not pass its mot when is frend told him it had failed he was a bit surprised but luckily it was only a Break light bulb
I'd also urge you to raise both wheels off the ground, and check both rear hubs. You can do this by putting your hands either side of the tyre, and observe if there is any 'lateral' movement.( Backwards and forwards.) It may indicate worn hubs, and to my knowledge they cannot be repaired, and may be scrap. You could also view the Morris Minor owners club forum, where you could raise questions. You don't need to be a member of the club, all morris fans are catered for. Good luck.👍
