Wow! What a cool Stang. Very high dollar car. The '71 looks incredible with the black body and convertible top. This would go for huge bucks at Barrett-Jackson if it ever wound up there.
I'd want to see the Marti Report on this one. The mach 1 bumper is strange. All things being equal on the 71 ragtop you got the chrome bumper. The rubber mach 1 bumper was standard ONLY on the Mach 1 and the 71 spring special hardtop. In 72, the rubber bumper became part of the decor group and was available on all bodies. Missing it's "M-U-S-T-A-N-G" Lettering across the trunk. Mach 1 honeycomb panel and Mach 1 flip cap are not stock to the car either. Owner added 'add ons.' Very well done car though. I wonder if this is the 429 Convertible that turned up in Spokane, WA that was factory Pastel Blue and someone decided to 'make' the convertible they always wanted out of it.

1971 Mustangs had 2 vertical hood latch brackets, this car has a non-correct for '71 1- piece bracket, that would only be correct for a '72-'73 Mustang!
I know where a 1971 Mach 1 Super Cobra Jet 429 Convertible with Ram Air and every option including Air Condition, Power windows, and automatic transmission is. From what the owner was told by someone at Ford, there were 4 Mustangs with the same specs that were built in 1971.
1-2-3's gonna be very valuable real soon, people were so used to the lil pony car, with it's weak drive train, the 1,2, 3's had 351C, Windsor, SCJ'S & 429'S, PLUS THE C- 6 HD TRANS, I HAD EARLY MUSTANGS, YOU GOTTA UP GRADE ALL THE SUSPENSION.
I hope this is a driver, and not a trailer queen. You know me, that i like cars 100% factory correct, but knowing this is a 429 SCJ 4 speed Convertible, the added A/C makes it even cooler whilst driving a BOg Block, 4 speed Mustang wich can go Top-less !
It's a Pitty that most of these High $$$ Cars won't see the streets being driving but in a Trailer. I would drive it. It would be great to have the Highest Millage Mustang at the car Show. I'm at 187 Thousand KM right now in my 95
Yes i am. Mine is a Special Hessing Special. Imported for the 1995 Lottery we had over here, but it didn't fell. So the dealer Hessing tried to sell these privatly at the time. Issue was these costed arround 90K in Our old Guldens. About the value of a Small Family House at the Time. They made 2 version, the V6 Coupe, wich i Own. And the super Rare GT Convertible with the 5.0 HO V8. Hopefully my next car :-)

The Lima 429, not the limited prodcution Boss 429 ( that was 69-70 only) , was one year only in the Mustang 1971. The 429 Cobra jet was available in all three body style of Mustang. The details of this car should be in the video .
