Hello AuctionLifers! In this episode Mrs. AuctionLife and Q are taking the seats out of the Beetle. I've sped up the video in places and added some groovy 70's music. After all....it is a '71 Super Beetle so the music is matching the theme. Hope you enjoy!

I just got a 71 as well came factory with a cream yellow an somewhere through the years the og yellow doors got crunched so I got a orange pair of doors like urs to throw on it just got it all painted the same color ended up painting it nardo gray it looks good 👍

This should be so easy. Most people who are familiar with Volkswagens take the seats out mostly to vacuum when doing a car washes. I guess the people who used to own it weren’t VW familiar hence the jammed seats. I recently bought a 72 of a girl and she took them out for cleaning so mine are easy

What did you use the screwdriver for? There must have been a stop that you had to move.

Three things 1 Get a paper manual/book for on site reference if needed...2 After removing seats check for change...C Get a bigger hammer...

1 Yes I'm planning on getting a repair manual and there are some restoration books out there too. I just haven't ordered yet. I need to do that soon. 2 We didn't find any change and yup we looked. Someone could have dropped a rare coin in there! You never know! LOL. C Much bigger of a hammer wouldn't do much good since there isn't a lot of room in there to swing it. ;)

I got my service manual! Now I have to make sense of it ;). Just kidding. It's very user friendly. Can't wait to grease it up!
